never pick everton on anything, even if they won 2 games in a row,2 would be a good thing if we could actually win 2 in a row

as a rule I never bet on my own team. but genuinely couldn't see us losing today.
massive massive massive bad result imo.
mind you the stoke and the wba results were even worse , from a less personal point of view.

...reality check folks;

Disappointing - undoubtedly, it was a game we could win, it was a competition we could win.

Surprising - absolutely not. I posted this morning it would be a tight game. I posted this morning that whoever scores 2 will probably win. I thought Leicester would score, they were stronger than when we played them a few weeks ago. Folk come on here and forecast comfortable wins when we don't do comfortable wins. Our games are tight because we don't create, because we rarely trouble opposing goalies and don't score lots. The reality is we win tight games, we draw tight games and we lose tight games. We lost this tight game.

Until we have real quality in the top third this will always be the case. It's the way it is.
Reality check
Seasons over IMO
Continuous let downs
Leicester aren't anything special this season just like ourselves but a home tie against a team we should beat at home ,at home remember, fortress Goodison?
Thing is the last five league games gave us a decent return when many posters predicted less
But as normal "that's Everton "
Roll on August

Too slow getting forward and not quick enough closing them down when they had the ball.

It was a bit like watching us under Roberto in the last two seasons.

Great run and cross from Geri for our goal. If he could do that more often he'd be starting much more than he has done.

Ah well.

There ya go.

The rest of the season will be us and Baggies locked in a tussle for the 7th Place Trophy.

The good news is that if the RS or the Mancs win the League Cup and if any of the big teams win the F.A.Cup then it won't matter if we only win the 8th Place Trophy because that will get us into the EL on account of England has an extra place from next season.

And we get to start the season in early July

The bad news is that if two teams like, say, Burnley or Hull were to fluke the two Cuos then even the 7th Place Trophy will bring no reward.

I can now relax and, in the words of Paul Weller, think about me 'olidays.

It's OK....that's football ;)

RS never win anything either and kids who want to actually go to football matches grow up blue.

2nd in the league, champions league next season with all probability a league cup semi next month and will be in the next round of the FA cup! Better chance than us!

Leicester, another team to add to the long list of teams that we can't beat at Goodison. First away win on English soil this season for them, even Hull beat them at home in the league cup 3rd round.

I am not sure we are allowed to talk to players still under contract or approach clubs pre-window. I don't know. Thought it was a breach of rules. I know tapping up goes on with agents. If we are allowed then we have been slow but if we are not allowed then we have acted quickly on one player and looks like another within the next few days. You only need one disagreement either with personal terms or transfer fee to add an extra few days on a deal.

You can make offers/bids!

I have faith that Koeman will deliver us one. Expecting it this season is unrealistic.

I'm glad he's angry at the result, mind. I'm not advocating that we meekly accept it.

Why is it unrealistic? We got both semi finals last season with a clown in charge apparently.. Losing to both Norwich and Leicester at home is terrible! We should of aimed for cups, as we aren't going to get champions league!
