Only problem is, especially with these lilly-livered bunch, until late you replace them, telling them that they're dog muck won't inspire them.

Good point. I don't know what would inspire them? Think we all agree on one thing- they've all got to go. Let's hope this time next year they have done.

...what surprises me is that folk are surprised. We struggle to score, we struggle to create so it was always going to be a tight game. It does amaze me how some post forecasts of 3-0 or 4-0 even if we did get 3 against Soton.

Please treat this as a reality check. The top teams have quality in the top third, we don't. We accumulate points but we are always just as likely to get turned over because our games are tight.
Shame on you Eggs for speaking with logic like a reasonable human being

This is GOT for god's sake

Whatever the football equivalent of viagra is, this team needs it. Get a goal, start going soft, then concede. After they scored the second we went completely limp and never really looked like getting back in it.

The gap between midfield and attackers is worrying. We're dying for someone to drop into that space and pull some strings, and for players to actually move and make runs. Shooting before we reach a dead end wouldn't go a miss either.

Would you rather the phenomenal or the unlucky approach. Honesty is the best way to go with a team of bottlers or they will think they are doing a marvellous job regardless of how bad they really are.

I do 2 £5 20 team acci's every weekend , just for fun.

espanyol (last night) Northampton (I had as a draw) Hartlepool , Sheffield utd (I had as a draw) stoke and Newcastle let me down on one. (that was around 900k)

on the other , Livingston and Wycombe were letting me down but come back to win. so just needed everton to beat Leicester and tomorrow Liverpool to beat Portsmouth. would have won £42365.63 to be precise.
You have more of a reason to hate them more than most

It would appear that every way to motivate some of them has been tried and failed mate.

It's like some of them are playing at half speed / can't be arsed for periods of the game, then all of a sudden come alive for a bit then revert back to half speed / can't be arsed mode again.

The lack of strength in depth, means that some of them are reasonably secure in the knowledge that they won't get dropped, as there's no one to replace them.

Until this changes ( new signings ) don't expect to see anything different anytime soon.

Plus in a good team the goals come from more than just one player.

The optimism of the AGM is immediately squashed by a healthy dose of Everton style realism.

I honestly believe things will get better simply because they can't really get worse.

Out of both cups and 7th the most realistic position we can attain....and it's only early January....Christ, that's mediocre even by our standards.

Tbf lads with all the positivity going around of late we were never going to win today. Everton, like the Universe, needs to be in balance. We are now in neutral fume stage, an Evertonians natural form.
