The first was down to electric pace and a goalie who couldn't hold a party.
Their second was quick, incisive passing and a cool, confident finish.

Again, it's not about whether he can make it or not, I just couldn't see what he brought to the team. On the evidence of today, any U23 midfielder could do the same. It was competent but thoroughly unenthralling.

Don't you feel though that the natural development of any younger player is to come in the first few games and show their entire skill set and then whether by instruction of coach or their own adjustments they make their game simpler because they realize they can't get away with the risks they can at u-23 level? Like I said I couldn't make any argument about today since I didn't see him play but I feel even if on the ball he offers similar to Barry he is light years ahead of Barry in terms of ability to cover ground. Who knows if he'll do anything of worth but I have hope for him.

You wanna scapegoat MG, it has to be whoever cannot see or refuses to see that a winning team starts with a rock solid goalie.
All the top teams ever have had a top, top keeper.
The RS had Clemence... we had Westy, then Southall... Forest had Shilton... Chelski had Cech.
You get a top keeper, you give yourself a chance.
These two we currently have are nothing more than back-ups at their very, very best.

Maybe it's just the major overreaction on here whenever another team beats us? It puts the sad acts that call radio shows to whinge to shame. We lose a game and there's a meltdown and everything is the worst ever.
