I could not believe my eyes yet again when that 2nd half started. The one thing that undid us against Chelsea in the 2009 final came back to haunt us again today. Sit back and beleive that you can defend till the final whistle. It might work occasiaonlly in league matches but very very rarely does it come off when so much is at stake in a cup semi-final of final itself. The blues should've got stuck in attacking and going for that 2nd vital goal the moment the 2nd half started but instead they pretty much froze and the big occasion got to em yet again! These are the things that as Evertoniains we have consistently had to get used to. inept tactics, horrible school boy errors and loosing the upper hand when the odds are so much stacked in our favour... I am so sick of it, and what makes it worse is when it nearly always happens in big matches against the red sh**e...!! Season is now over.... Great... (n)

Definitely this. That was our one hope of redeeming ourselves for this disaster of a season. This has got to rate as amongst the lowest of Moyes' 10 years, even if on paper it's one of his better ones/

No. We can still finish higher than RS. It's all we have to play for now, and that's SAD, but at least it is something. If the guys have any pride left, in fact if their pride is really HURTING now, as it should be, they'll go for it, all out.

Like everything else in life, on the big days your limitations always show, that's the difference between winners and the rest.

Our limitations are too great - an inheritently defensive minded manager, too many players for whom the big occasion is just too big - we can easily name 5or6 - take your choice, and finally a keeper who can be great on occasions but showed his 2 biggest failings today, he should have been off his line and put the ball and Suarez into the stands, and for the second goal, caught as usual somewhere between going for the ball and staying on his line.

Lets be honest we turned up wanting to win but in the end are just not good enough.

Until there is fresh investment, days like this are as close as we will get to success and silverware.

I have wanted him out for a long time now. Yes I will always acknowledge what he did for us in the past, but I just don't understand why he is so negative in his tactics, never ever does he take any chances, and this despite being one of the least likely to fired managers in the league.

I would love for us to get Paul Lambert in instead of Moyes and I do hope that Spurs go after him when Wobbly gets the England-manager-death-sentence.

yeah im a big fan of lambert, always said it hes done wonders with a terrible norwich squad, his football isnt too attractive but he wins, and the attractiveness will probs be better if he was working with our players anyway. I would have loved martin o'neill as well terrific manager, look at the way he spotted mclean straight away and how he's been a revelation. What happened to the moyes that brought through rooney and vaughan, we had 2 of the 3 youngest scorers in premier league history ffs

O'Neill is probably one of the few managers who can be more negative than Moyes.

Said from the start distin is a liability...

...Liverpool deserved to win, we needed to test their keeper more, shame.

It should be said the support by Liverpool outside the stadium was awful, if Everton won you would be hearing singing everywhere, but the Liverpool fans didn't even look happy never mind singing!

Getting pretty routine for them now though, isn't it?

Pretty much nails everything down, We will achieve precisely zero with the Moyes/Kenwright combo in place. No trophies since 1995 and it'll be another decade on top if that pair are still hanging around.

12 years for Kenwright, 10 years for Moyes...and what have they got to show for it? One cup final when we were completely outclassed.

They're not good enough for Everton. never have been and never will be. They're small-time operators trying to pull the levers at what has been and still should be a giant club.

Like today? & all the other times?
