Nope, it's not feeling any less painful 3 hours after the final whistle as I had hoped it might. Then there is tomorrow morning to face, when you wake up and it hits you like a hammer on the head.

Just couple of things spring to mind as the full extent of this apocalyptic event becomes apparent:

- they did this without having to rely on Stevie G Lar to dig them out of a hole; thought he had a fairly poor game like so many others on the pitch from both sides.

- their 3rd choice keeper was hardly tested all game.

- were it not for TH's saves and Carroll's misses they would have won by more.

- when Bellamy came on you knew he was going to cause us problems with his pace. Wasn't expecting such a good delivery from his free kick though.

- apart from Jelavic and Osman and Heitinga we were poor throughout. Coming out half-asleep for the beginning of the 2nd half was inexcusable. There was a lot of panicky defending by us on occasions and the mindset of the players seemed to all wrong. We are better than them and instead showed them too much respect.

1 positive - Dalglish gets to keep his job. That's it. Our worst nightmare just happened, and it's going to take a very long time to come to terms with it, if we ever do.

I remain distraught.

We never will.

I wasn't at the game today but I was at OT in '71 for a precursor to today's heartbreak, if not clueless tactical performance.

We surrendered a 1-0 lead that day and I have never got over it.

Ditto the Clive Thomas fiasco back in Manchester six tyears later.

I still have angry moments over that.

All you young Blues out there.....today will never leave you and you will never forget it.

(but in a perverted way that is a good thing.....loving your team so much it hurts)

A mate stuck the boot in saying Cardiff put up a better fight.

That put a downer on me like a ton of bricks

I'm not actually sure that's strictly true though. But nevertheless, same result. How the RS will now be even smugger than they already were! I only hope that Chelsea or Tottenham cut them down to size. Maybe we should be hoping for Tottenham to win tomorrow.

We were at least the best supporter crowd. The dear Toffees fans was so much, so much, so much better!! Thank you very much you made us pride!!

Yeah, how right you are! But fortunately, by the day after that it will have started to have faded into the murky depths of time.....

Just got back, left when they scored. I new was never going to score.

A sh1t house manager who has put together a group of sh1thouse players who have bottled it in every important game they have ever played in.

Yep, indeed. There will be those that desert the ship now, but they're not true Blues. When we one day get success again it will be SO much the sweeter for this.....

Or am i just a masochist?! :o

Said that to myself in 1989.....1 trophy since. And then today we finally get the chance to exact some sort of revenge, and blow it.

It's more than hard supporting us. But there's no stopping doing it.

thats why we are so special(y)

There is no 'upside' to this. Talk all you want about the day after tomorrow and forgetting this and moving on...WE'VE JUST BEEN BEATEN AGAIN BY LIVERPOOL AT WEMBLEY WHEN IT MATTERED MOST.

You should be tearing your own entrails out...it should hurt a lot and for a long, long, long time. Never forget how painful it is. Dont let the manager and players get away with that dog shit performance so easily. They embarrassed and humiliated this club. This is a scandal...an absolute ****ing scandal that they've left us in pieces agian.

"The important thing is we finish as high as we can now"

**** off.

You're right mate. This is so devastating and it's totally unacceptable.

whats hurting more is reading some comments spouting out of DM " just before we conceded the 1st we thought we could hang on .."

that mindset is appalling and there lies the main reason for that performance today....you have just been wretched for the last 30+ mins and there is still 30+ mins to go and you think we can hang on FFS are EFC 7th in the premier lge( the highest in eng) or in the conference lge

does nt matter what your profession is but when you are small minded it will always hold you back
