have you ever said anything positive?
this is horrible...we all feel it..

To be honest, Davek was being very frank £ hoest with his post that your referred o. I'm sick of the wishy washy comments from blues saying it'll be that little bit bett in te morning etc. It makes me mad.

Davek and that post are 100 times more positive than you lot will ever realise. We should all be bleeding internally. I will take years to get over this. I am now back n m room again, with london lights outside but I cant face it. Show some passion, you lot. This kind of day can't ever be glossed over.

It's all my fault i guess. There was a bit of red on the label of one of the bottles of beer i'd got out. As soon as i noticed i put it straight back in the cupboard and selected another, but i guess it was too late.....

You let us all down mate, proud of yaself?

Spot on mate. There's a lot on here who just don't get understand! Plenty of lightweights & out of towners who think they know what it means to be a blue. They don't!

Moyes was always the big handicap going into this SF. He's a liability in Derbies. I said the other day that if we could hire Joe Royle to manage us against those tvvats we'd be home and hosed by HT.

It was the best chance we'll ever have of toppling them at Wembley. They were/are in turmoil off the pitch, with Dalglish hanging on by his fingertips and all his signings teetering on the brink. We had them at 1-0 without breaking sweat. We needed to be bold and finish them off. Moyes sent them back out to defend and to cower when we needed 11 strongmen on the pitch. Moyes HT teamtalk did the opposite and turned them into jellyfish.

I mean, FFS, how can we make Andy Carroll a Derby day hero three matches in one season?! That's almost an impossible feat to achieve.

If there's one thing we have to have if we're going to continue having to put up with being a mediocre, mid-table team it's a fighting spirit against Liverpool twice a season. Minimum. Moyes's is not the man for the job. He's a shithouse where that fixture is concerned. There's no debate about that. They have his number. He knows it too. If I was Moyes I'd be ashamed of that record against Liverpool. It is completely unacceptable.

We joked this would happen. Read over the Blackburn RS thread and how we laughed but then pointed out the fact that today would be completely different. And it was. So we saw it coming.

I'm trying to put into perspective which was the worst of the defeats this year. The 3-0 where Moyes clearly didnt give a **** about that game, openly saying he would've changed more of that team, and played unfit players. Or today where he rested players a week before and played his strongest 11...where he still lost as easily as the 3-0 at Anfield.

I think you had to believe deep down that we could have won today.

Personally, I was never confident as prior history, the manager, the way we play, all stacked up like a little devil on my shoulder telling me "You'll never win this game"

I got home, a few hours ago. It has taken until now to turn laptop on, and in truth the only reason I did it was because I cant talk, I am physically and emotionally drained. So I performed above and beyond the call of duty and I am a few quid lighter, however I wonder how many of the players feel like I /we do right now? there is not enough passion in this squad, there arent many that I would be interested in watching again.

Tactically and particularly against the RS Moyes is terrible, it is time for the kids to get a chance all this wrapping them up and looking after them bollocks is a joke. If Ross Barklay is good enough get him in the ****ing team now. Sick of it, same old get you up then throw you down faster.

Thanks to all the fellow fans, I was proud to be part of it with you. When people took pictures of my banner at the Green Man and then on the Wembley steps I had a tear of pride and passion......shame the players didnt share our passion.

Exactly mate. It doesn't matter which way he goes to prepare them for Liverpool if the stink of defeatism and inferiority he gives off gets to his players.

After that white flag game at Anfield he was almost saying that Liverpool beat his reserve side. Well, he had his preferred line up there today and couldn't inspire them even after they were handed a goal start.

If he's here for the next Derby I hope he steps aside to let Fred the doorman take the team talk.

devo'd here, absolutely devo'd
my misplaced quiet optimism leading up to today has indeed proved to be misplaced

big chance for us today to get rid of the bad ju-ju that's hung over us for a while, no trophy for fkn years, RS turning us over on the big games, honestly thought we could and would do it today, but no, not to be

now I cast my mind back to the pre Moyes days when relegation battles where the norm, and i fkn hated it, felt that the club I love were being torn apart, how I longed just for mid-table medicority at that point, wanted so much a manager who would come in and take us to the next level

well I'll be honest, Moyes has done exactly that, he managed to get us out of the constant relegation battles, and he did indeed take us to the next level, somehow managed to get us a Champions League game at one point, and for that I'll always be grateful, Moyes worked wonders for this club and I take my hat off to him

but unfortunately for David Moyes, the level he has taken us to is still not Everton's standard

yes we had to work hard to become an average mid table team as a logical "next step" in returning to our former glories

but this has been our lot for the part of the past decade now, and again it's obvious to us all that we need to take the next step up if we are to hold any faith in our motto

sorry to say it, but Moyes isn't the man to do it

thanks for everything David, but this is Everton FFS, where nothing but the best will do

They dont deserve lads like you. It gives me heart though that there's still people who feel that way. Never let them force you to accept lackof success. This manager and board wont be here forever - keep the faith and we WILL win honours again.

I didn't tell my 7 year old son we were going to London if we won today. So happy about that now. Loss was hard enough for him to take. He did call Carroll a donkey. Loved that. This is the third season of my evertonian love affair. I could never imagine it could hurt this much. All I can think of is those goals going in and those bast@rds celebrating. Just going to say I think that this is going to be the beginning of the end of this Everton team. It will unravel as the season ends and will fly apart in the summer. In all honesty I don't think Bainesy will be in Everton Blue next year, and he will not be alone. He has just been different and was completely out of sorts against Norwich. Nearly sent off. Like he almost wanted to be. He is one of my absolute favorites and I am not ****ging him off at all, it's just that something is wrong. I am going to seal myself off from all sporting news bar Everton fixtures. Will watch them on mute so I don't hear anything about today. It feels like the decent part of my soul was disintegrated. Now all that is left is the hate. I am baptized in today's emotion and emerged bitter. But thank God I am Blue.

wise views, mate.

My United supporting mate text me saying - "Im still not over how consistently pathetic Everton are in derbies. Yet again they played with a massive inferiority complex and set up with all the positivity and conviction of a league 2 side playing a premier league side. Moyes has obviously done a great job at the club but has a lot to answer for when it comes to derbies. They will never get a better chance than that."

He seemed more upset about it than I was to be fair lol. But if he could see it, a United fan who doesnt follow Everton as closely as we do, then Im afraid a lot of other people will too.

Its embarrassing. And like I said, a black mark of Moyes' CV. No trophy, terrible derby record.

Just got back home. Here's my take on the game.

Very wobbly start, but we seemed to settle down after 10 minute. Fellini bossed midfield, but we seemed to be losing too many headers. Was in club wembley - block 132, but surrounding by kopites. They went quiet after the first goal (and the lad infront of me was kind enough to hand back my phone after it flew out my pocket from jumping up and down!). Towards the end of the first half the signs started to show we were sitting back though. Nevertheless, the first half it felt good to be a blue. Second half started like the first, but didnt get better. Too many long balls from Howard. When we did get a few passes together, no-one wanted to take a shot - seemed to forget they had their third choice goalkeeper (who didnt have to do much). Caroll was diving all over the place and Webb seemed to fall for it most of the time. Always knew we needed a second goal but it didnt seem like coming. jelavic was going for everything, but seemed to have forgotton to put deodorant on as he never had any support. We fell apart after their first goal, and just as we seemed to be evening it up, they scored again. Even when we had to score, we failed to shoot. Didnt see much of the last few minutes as a fight broke out behind me (someone lamped a kopite who was giving it a bit too much!).

So, yes, down like everyone else - it was a long walk back to the station and the kopites were in good voice, but the everton fans still had the passion to respond.

So overall, yes I think we bottled in again, and the tactics were too defensive (although to be fair, Moyes was constantly waving players upfield). Without a player like Drenthe (or Pienaar), we didn't seem to have options or flair.

We lost, but its disappointing to see the arguments on here. Okay it hurts, okay its the most damaging result of the season. But we are Everton and we are chosen not made. Lets at least pull together and finish higher than the sh*te, even if we cant seem to beat them directly.
