There must be several players at the Club now feeling that their time is nearly up, and i feel immensely sad for the likes of Neville and Cahill, for all the blood, sweat, and toil they have given the Club, that they will not walk away with a winner's medal.

Thanks to all the fellow fans, I was proud to be part of it with you. When people took pictures of my banner at the Green Man and then on the Wembley steps I had a tear of pride and passion......shame the players didnt share our passion.

What was your banner?

My United supporting mate text me saying - "Im still not over how consistently pathetic Everton are in derbies. Yet again they played with a massive inferiority complex and set up with all the positivity and conviction of a league 2 side playing a premier league side. Moyes has obviously done a great job at the club but has a lot to answer for when it comes to derbies. They will never get a better chance than that."

He seemed more upset about it than I was to be fair lol. But if he could see it, a United fan who doesnt follow Everton as closely as we do, then Im afraid a lot of other people will too.

Its embarrassing. And like I said, a black mark of Moyes' CV. No trophy, terrible derby record.

It's the elephant in the drawing room now. You cant have a disastrous record like that and keep it a secret. Moyes will enter the Derby Day records book peple consult for years to come. Along with questions like 'who scored most goals in the fixture for Everton/Liverpool/how many hattricks have been scored' etc etc there'll be a question about 'what seasons did Moyes get his only three wins in from the 58 Derbies he managed in'.

It's outrageous.

So is everyone mate, but we're not 'down' with getting ****ted all the time, ****house manager, skint etc etc
What do you expect? We should just accept it meekly? You can if you like, but not me!
Plus we'll all get everton related cancer if we don't let it out!!

devo'd here, absolutely devo'd
my misplaced quiet optimism leading up to today has indeed proved to be misplaced

big chance for us today to get rid of the bad ju-ju that's hung over us for a while, no trophy for fkn years, RS turning us over on the big games, honestly thought we could and would do it today, but no, not to be

now I cast my mind back to the pre Moyes days when relegation battles where the norm, and i fkn hated it, felt that the club I love were being torn apart, how I longed just for mid-table medicority at that point, wanted so much a manager who would come in and take us to the next level

well I'll be honest, Moyes has done exactly that, he managed to get us out of the constant relegation battles, and he did indeed take us to the next level, somehow managed to get us a Champions League game at one point, and for that I'll always be grateful, Moyes worked wonders for this club and I take my hat off to him

but unfortunately for David Moyes, the level he has taken us to is still not Everton's standard

yes we had to work hard to become an average mid table team as a logical "next step" in returning to our former glories

but this has been our lot for the part of the past decade now, and again it's obvious to us all that we need to take the next step up if we are to hold any faith in our motto

sorry to say it, but Moyes isn't the man to do it

thanks for everything David, but this is Everton FFS, where nothing but the best will do

You are so right. But let's not forget that the rot started in the mid-Eighties. After the glory years the then management failed to reinvest in the Club, the squad disintegrated and weren't replaced with players of equal calibre. That was shameful, and we've NEVER recovered from it. At least, as you say, we're not fighting relegation anymore (for the moment), and you have to thank Moyes, and even Kenwright, for that. But it's not good enough. Kenwright, for one, needs to relinquish his hold on something that's too big for him. As for Moyes, i would have loved to have seen what he could do with the funds to buy the players he REALLY wants to, but i'm not sure it's ever going to happen at Everton now, and his defensive-minded nature will forever blot his copy-book imo.

That may be more to do with those C U N T S getting us banned from europe than us ****ing ourselves over.

I'm bit sad about to say it but it's now finally proved. DM (in his pajamas - ok not relevant) is not the big-match-man. 10 years is enough.

Hard luck Everton, I hope you manage to win a trophy next season, you deserve it.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere today. Great banter on the way up to Wembley and no aggro whatsoever in the stadium; I didn't hear any of the distasteful chants that I've heard at Anfield and Goodison in recent years which is great. All of the blues I encountered seemed to have taken the defeat very graciously. I was disappointed to see some of our fans uttering needless taunts on Wembley way after the match but otherwise it was the friendliest Merseyside derby I've ever attended and it was an absolute privilege.

Distin's mistake killed you, I felt you were more than comfortable up to that point.

Commiserations guys.

You're right on all counts there mate, I agree, Moyes probably could've taken us further with more funds.

As for today though, the players presently at Moyes disposal are more than capable of beating the current Liverpool side.

The reason they didn't is down to Moyes and his tactics.

Today has made me realise this.
