Half a billion spent...and we look like THAT against a rotated United team.
Incredible.
Says it all. We'll win some games of football matches through unbelievable hard work but will end of near 7th or 8th as soon as expectations arise.

No backup RB or LB that is deemed good enough to cover after so much money spent is unforgivable. The only goal scoring threat is from DCL's headers and bizzarely enough we did not even have a game plan to putting crosses in the box.

Brands needs to own up to his role. Why we let Walcott and Kean leave with no replacements was abysmal considering the schedule.

The bench was the difference in the end...

They brought on Martial & Rashford, we brought on Bernard & Davies...

They had impact we had none...

That was the most typical Everton big game performance!

Doesn't matter who our manager is, it's just what we do, that could have been Big Sam or Silva or Koeman in charge and it will have been the same bottle job of a showing

We choose to have poor bench strength or to recruit overhyped and unarsed players.

Loaned out 2 attacking players who would have been handful from the bench in Kean and Walcott.

Delph
Gbamin
Bernard
Tosun

Some of the above 4 players on high wages or expensive purchases have been injured or not good enough.

Its poor management if Tosun is our panic attack option from the bench.

Kean is getting more game time at PSG than he would get here. Walcott went to free up wages for Rodriguez.

Delph and Tosun are really bad buys.
Gbamin is just luck.
Bernard I rate as a player. Just not for how we play and maybe not the league.

We all know we've bought bad since Koeman was in charge. The starting 11 tonight bar Godfrey, Olsen, Doucoure (all defensive) are the same from the past few years.

Am I really seeing Siggy topping the poll? Far too many misplaced passes and SO lightweight in the tackle. Had a couple of moments and helped knit some play together, but motm? No chance
He fluffed so much deliveries. He put effort in which should be a given really but never delivered anything. Iwobi is just lucky to be a pro footballer

United deserved it, players looked too tired and I agree there is a lack in mentality but I don’t feel like that was one of those nights, just don’t think we had the legs or the quality to win against a United team who made 9 changes and brought in world class players. I’ve seen us in Quarters bottle so many and this didn’t seem one of them, just felt they ran out of gas and didn’t have the quality to change the game, they brought on Rashford and Martial at 0-0. Everyone knew the likes of Gomes, Bernard, Tosun not good enough before, but we’re 4th in the league and we had 3 of our best players out. Not gunna lose too much sleep over this one, win Saturday and we’ll have won 4 league games on the bounce.

The schedule? We have one game a week for 80 percent of the season.
