Pickford is never more than an inch or moment away from going full Joe Hart. He's capable of making top saves at any given time (as are pretty much all keepers in the Prem) but it feels like everything he does is to play to the crowd/cameras. Just so unnecessary.

That Chelsea kid might be someone Frank can attract; and Jesus is a squad player at City, never been a regular, and will be even further down the pecking order if a Halaand or Kane arrives in the summer to go alongside that Alvarez lad they signed in January. Thus he might be open to a move and may not want to uproot his family.

As for 'that fella De Bruyne', I'm going to choose to assume you have not been dropped on your head and are not legitimately asking why we don't try to sign one of the best players in the world and City's most key and influential player. ??
 
Unable to watch the full game so had to rely on MOTD. Keane was shown to be awful and in that short time DCL never touched the ball. To have him as the front row striker is a nonsense, he is useless. For the Leicester game he should be dropped, surely we can find some one to fill in the gap, Dobbin ? Is Rondon fit ? Pur richie on the middle and Gray on the wing ?

Any ideas anyone ?

3/4s of the way through the season, Rondon is as fit as he's going to be - should at very least be in contention if DCL is offering nothing. Same goes for Tosun unless he is injured. But Frank has his favourites: the likes of Keane and Kenny and DCL will almost always be in the team no matter how they perform or how little they offer.

Not a bad weekend , footballing wise. We win, and Burnley are beat. It's of course all in our hands to pull clear of relegation. But a few favourable results going our way won't hurt. Brentford seem safe. We might catch Leeds. But for now it's all about staying ahead of the bottom three. Awful that we are in this position. But there you are. Survive this season. Build on that. And just don't put us through this nonsense again.
Beat Leicester next. Hopefully back to back home wins. Or at the very least.....don't get beat.
Burnley away to West Ham next. Up The Hammers...

Last point. I like DCL. But surely he's gone in the summer. Get as much as possible for him. Then put in a proper bid for Toney from Brentford... This guy could be within our price range. Test Brentfords resolve. And also get Dobbin and Ellis involved. Maybe actually also keep Rondon. And of course keep Richarlison. Happy days.
But first. Pull clear of Burnley and Watford. Up The Toffees. Our staying up wee Toffees......hopefully.

I wouldn't mind cashing in on Dom you know. He's been good for us but definitely isn't the killer striker we need. Would definitely mourn Richy leaving more than DCL. Problem is he's had a dead season so we may need to wait till after the World Cup.

Rondon and Tosun (and even Alli) should all be playing a part and being used. They're not world beaters, but DCL isn't offering anything and we need goals, we need to win games, and perhaps some players need to know they're not undroppable if they don't perform.

Prefer to keep Richy, but if we can get towards £100m for the pair of them, it would be good business and shouldn't be an issue so long as we re-invest it well and recruit well (which is not exactly our strong suit).

Just seeing the Mancs had 68% possession...... ffs at Goodison??? Delighted with the win but we really can't go on like that.
