Ref was a joke, but once they started booting the shoite out of us then the brave lads in blue went missing as usual - Coleman is finished, but as skipper could have rallied us and got I their faces - didn't happen.

Sigfraud was back to his atrocious worst - Tom Davies should have started ahead of him (and should always imo).

Pickford was more bothered about clogger Hendrick on the corner than to watch his positioning when Wilson heads it - should have been dropped after Leicester.

Lastly, wtf was our bench about - sorry Carlo, there has to be some options from the U23s that can take the place of a second keeper and leaving a seat?!

Plus, we could see it wasn't working so why not try something else with flash, or bring just god Benfrey on and push digne into midfield?

Top 4 is potentially still there, but our brave boys in blue don't want it enough sadly.
‘Top 4 is potentially still there’

Do you guys actually watch any football? Genuine question.

Is it mathematically impossible for us to not get a top four place now then?

Yes, I do watch quite a bit of football actually, although after today I might reassess that.

I said earlier on this season, anything is possible because it's such a bonkers situation with the league, providing we could show a bit of consistency, and that still holds true.

How is it not possible, given how patchy the majority of teams form, aside from city, has been?

Leicester can be got at, as we proved at their place.

United are overated and have just lost against arguably the worst team we've had in the division, and drew against a crap arsenal side today.

The rs have been dogpoo, and will still drop points going forward I think, regardless of how "well" they beat a shocking spurs.

Spurs are spurs - they will also drop points.

Sadly, after today's gutless showing, so will Everton.

I can see a different team breaking into the top four this season, rather the usual suspects - I'm still hoping it could be us, even after todays gutless display, otherwise what's the point?

I can see us, Villa, Chelsea and Arsenal (potentially West Ham also) all ending on very similar points totals. I think Leicester are a step up from us and have a much stronger squad, and it goes without saying that City, United and Liverpool will finish above us - just look at their respective squads.

We have one striker, United have about six, Liverpool have two superb strikers and Firmino who can be good, plus Jota when he's back, making four. City actually only have two, but they got to the top of the league playing without a single striker by having an amazing midfield.

So, for me, positions 1-4 are settled already by City, United, Liverpool and Leicester.

Do we have the squad to finish best of the rest to grab fifth? IMO not a chance. Sixth if the Europa League place ends up rolling over into the league? Again, not a chance. How on earth has the club decided that having one out-and-out striker is acceptable for an entire season?

It's a shame - biggest opportunity in over 30 years to play with the big boys again and the club has messed it up. Oh well, c'est la vie.

This is my biggest frustration. Such a massive opportunity this season, one that could set us up for a really good next 5-10 years and we're just completely surrendering with a series of lethargic, slow performances.

I'm not even talking about top 4 either to be honest. Just get us properly back in the mix for the top 6/7 and with Chelsea Arsenal and Spurs all rebuilding to various degrees this season is an absolutely massive chance to catch up with them. While I'm not going to let one terrible performance write the season off, the regularity with which we are just surrendering points to apparently mediocre opponents is utterly infuriating.

Utterly Everton.

So we are all depressed again then right??

Ill check back Wednesday night.

Not specifically on the back of this game - it just very painfully highlight our weaknesses and how far we have to go to challenge the top 4.

Doesn't mean our season is over due to how open it is this year. But equally hardly surprising people are dejected after today's "showing".

Bad day at the office wasn't pretty
, ridiculous ref James was hacked down at will
I am still positive about our challenge for top 4,trust in Carlos to get us back on track
Seamus has lost it , and would preferred Davies over Sigurdsson.
Season is full of these results R/S v Burnley, United v Sheff United to mention recent weird results
