The problem is the Martinez legacy players. I'm certain of it after today.

They need binning. Soon. All of them.

I know I have got stick for supporting Bolasie etc - and yeh he has been inconsistent.

And Williams has been okay - not brilliant but better than any of our other defenders. Stek, again, has made some very good saves but is inconsistent.

Gueye has been our best player.

All brought in in the summer and all showing they can play the way Koeman wants the team to play - with pace and intensity.

Martinez built a squad that was capable of playing one way - his way. Yes it was stuffed with some quality, but they just can't adapt.

Yes, Koeman should be getting better out of them, and needs to change things.

But overall 13 games in we now all must realise how poor this squad is, and it's gonna take time

Van Dijk is a good centreback mate, better than many on this forum think.
He is, top class. But you would expect on a few occasions lukaku to put him under pressure.
Costa, aguero or Sanchez would have.

Lukau falls into 2 brackets by our fans.

1) he has world class potential, and should keep at all costs. As we would be relegated with out his goals.

2) lazy, shocking touch. Thinks he's better that he is, and to good for Everton. Sell for 65/70mil

I'm in camp 2

I agree. With all of that.

Who do you think will pay 70m for him?

Agree mate that the service to Lukaku has been crap and we can't drop him, but that shouldn't stop him putting a shift in, he just went through the motions tonight and let Van Dijk bully him all over the place.

Thing is mate - and while Rom needs to do more - he's just not very good when up against two decent CBs who can beat him in the air and like to nip in on the deck.

It's not service. It's support.

So often he is isolated, with Barkley in no man's land.

Only way to change that is by switching the system, and Koeman has to be doing that sharpish

Feel for you today lad.

Can't be easy down there on the rare occasions they get chance to gloat ;)

Also for all the other blues who went down today.

@Woolly Blue and @Mikey_Fitzgerald are two I know who definitely did.

Hats off to you

My mates have been alright to be honest.

I just laughed at them for their so called 'we are going to give Koeman absolute hell' which turned out to be about 2 unoriginal songs.

Lukaku is at his best facing goal, if we had a proper playmaker he would benefit hugely mate, just winds me up how easily he is beaten in the air though, and how easily he is knocked off the ball considering he's a beast of a man, it gets to the point where he just doesn't look arsed.

One of the worst things of today: we had a great chance to leapfrog United into 6th and put a massive gap between us and the middle tier of the PL. This weekend...

United drew
Watford lost
West Brom drew
Bournemouth lost

Now we remain 7th and are within striking distance of about four clubs below who could leapfrog us once our tougher fixtures are done and dusted.
