Our problem is that we want to play our fancy attractive football without having earned the right to do it. We arent good enough to pass the ball around people when they defend aggressively high up the pitch and we get hounded off the ball deep in our own half, when we dont have the ball we are half arsed in getting it back. A good grafting team will always cause us trouble. I love the attacking football but we have absolutely no control over games. Loads of people have been calling for two attacking wide men but we are left too exposed. What an absolutely toss weekend of togger.

Who said what now?

Just making sure - you think Howard is Ace, just out of form because of the Crowd getting on his back.

That what you saying up there?

Well you know i never said that if you read past the first sentence, and i actually never used the word ace or any similar adjective anywhere in the post.

Just watched the game in full after being at work all day.

All relevant adjectives for that performance are blocked by the swear filter.

Barry and Gerard aside, what a gutless performance I thought. Once Kevin went off, I felt the lads were all playing not to be injured.

Had Coleman scored that sitter, it would have only papered over the cracks of a shambles of a display.

If any neutral had watched Stones for the very first time today, they would say to keep him in the reserves. His worst game ever wasn't it?

Played Everton, played.

Yet he still made some world class interceptions (as just highlighted on MOTD) and played a truly superb ball that Coleman should have scored from.

Yeh, worst game ever. Drop him.

HUGE over-reaction on here. Fans and players nervous due to some bad tactics and Martinez' insistance to go with Howard - who is equal with Stones for being at fault for their goals.

Now I've cooled a bit........ First half aside we were quite unlucky today too. But I guess you make your own luck.

If we manage to beat city it will surely lift the squad!!! Keep believing blues, as hard as it may seem. ;)

Alright mate
I did say if neutrals watched him for the first time, not those who see him week in week out.
Goals aside, I still thought it was down there with the poorest performance at GP this season. Mostly because of the first half and they just sat back and soaked up pressure in the 2nd.

We were totally rubbish and not just today most of the season, yes there have been a few good moments, but we are so inconsistent and can't defend for a toffee. I wouldn't mind betting this time next year things haven't improved if Martinez is still here but If we have another manager keep most of our squad we will be top six. I said it last season Martinez isn't the right manager for us.

Yes.....I have cooled down a bit myself after watching the recording.

So I am done with criticising the defending at the first goal.

I am looking at the ref now.

As with Leciester's third and decisive goal, the referee ignored a blatant handball which started the move.

As with the Stoke game when he was blatantly fouled in the box, Seamus Coleman was denied a stonewall penalty when a boy handled a cross from him.

Then there is the misfiring strikers.

It is criminal Lukaku and Ross were not attacking thise wicked crosses Del was putting in with regular frequency all through the second half.

Seamus them procedes to miss two sitters.....one a contender for miss if the season.

FFS we could just as easily won that game 8-2.

I love writing this stuff.

I love arguing with those I have been arguing with all night.

I love GOT because it gives all of us a safety valve we never had back in that prehistoric time before the Internet when you came home the game, kicked the dog, insulted the wife and sent the children to their rooms....:whip:

And now I am starting to get up for Wednesday night ;)

I love you, Everton.
