Did anyone else think that Super Kev looked a bit poor again today? Haven't seen that spark yet this season.

Messy is the only word I can use to describe today. The fluency that we showed against Norwich was not there. Osman was again AWOL. Coleman was excellent. Kone needs to start next week. Why take Mirallas of and replace with Naismith????? Maybe if we're one up. Patience is needed but if Felli and Baines go we are goosed even though Felli was poor in possession today. Oh we'll...squeaky bum time.

I can't believe all the negativity. Yeah, granted it wasn't a great performance from Everton but I think West brom gave an outstanding display of organised defending which contained us very well. For those who are calling for Deulofeu, seriously? You want to put a foreign and very young player with no premiership experience in at 0-0, in a game where West Brom effectively minimised any space to exploit (see Meirallas' game).

No knee jerk reaction from me. I haven't seen us play that bad since smith. First game at home for the new manager, first home game of the season and I would have expected more from the players. It was an awful performance, and thats the scary part.

Don't go on about possession, shots, blocks etc coz you sound like kopites. It was the style of play I'm worried about, and that was bad, really bad

We weren't as bad as people are making out. We were a bit Meh. When it clicks going forward we look very good. Just needs speeding up a touch.
Impressed in Kone from his cameo
Disappointed in Miralles.

I get it how its his first two games and and it needs time. However can someone explain why there were just 4 players with us having a corner in the first half and then Distin not even going in the box for one in the 2nd half.

exactly what i was thinking mate. There were times (like when howard took ages to take a goal kick) that it looked like we were playing for a draw. i think we've done alright in the first couple of games. Looking forward to seeing a bit more of Kone - thought he looked dangerous.

He has turned us into wigan. Pass left, pass right, pass back and hoof forward when under pressure

I would be worried if we had been out played in the last two games and had 0 points

He is trying to change a style that has been built within the club for over a decade, These things take time, 4 months is not long enough to judge the man, If in 9-10 months from now we are still having the same problems then bombs away with the worrying and what not but some of the utter crap that gets posted on here makes me want to volley all yer mars in the rat
This.

Very concerning that regarding the corners. On more than two occasions I noticed we had three players in their box from a corner and they had 10. What's that all about?

Martinez needs to grow some balls and drop Leon Osman, who again was the worst player on the pitch.

Baines again didn't look himself but Coleman was fantastic. I dare say if we can get 15m for Baines and have two quality players lined up to go into the starting XI I might be for the move, but I expect we'd sell him, buy somebody **** and have 70% of the money disappear.

Same goes for Fellaini, who was alright today but has to dominate poor teams like that.

Jelavic can do one, somebody get on the phone to Hamburg and see if they have any money whatsoever to take him off our hands.

Wtf is Naismith doing getting a game? The fella is Championship standard at best.

Mirallas was **** today too, wonder what's up with him?

DROP OSMAN FOR WHO? WE HAVEN'T GOT ANY OTHER CENTRE MIDFIELDERS.

In the corresponding fixture last year we won 2-1 with two goals from Baines, including a penalty.

2012/13
Possession 55.9%
Shots on target 6 v 2
Shots off target 7 v 3
Corners 5 v 2

2013/14
Possession 61%
Shots on target 8 v 2
Shots off target 14 v 5
Corners 11 v 1

We hit the post and the crossbar. If the stats are anything to go by we're playing better football, we're just not being clinical enough. Hopefully Jelavic or Kone will open their goalscoring account and regain some composure in front of goal.

Its not hard to notice we do not have enough quality up front

But what can Martinez without a shed load of cash do about it?

Moyes had the same problem and so will Rob, It doesn't help when Kev is playing like a utter spanner

that ****ting off Arsenal was much worse than that, I had to have a shower and a good cry afterwards

Mirallas was **** today too, wonder what's up with him?

Hes always like that! It baffles me how others cant see it. He has moments of brilliance of course but 90% of the time he is delivering terrible crosses or giving it away in dangerous areas. Such a frustrating player.

We don't have an answer when teams put players behind the ball, as the last two games have showed.

Coleman was our best player today, and Mirallas was our worst.

Playing with Osman and Jelavic is like playing two men down, Osman barely made a forward pass all night and, and Jelavic is not the kind of striker that Martinez wants, he is not a footballer, he is a finisher. (If that these days).

Just seen the Martinez interview, he just said that is everything he would have hoped for from a home display??
