I can't believe all the negativity. Yeah, granted it wasn't a great performance from Everton but I think West brom gave an outstanding display of organised defending which contained us very well. For those who are calling for Deulofeu, seriously? You want to put a foreign and very young player with no premiership experience in at 0-0, in a game where West Brom effectively minimised any space to exploit (see Meirallas' game).

This is such a good post. WBA defended like mad men.

I though Ossie had a good game to be fair, dunno why he's being crucified already. He was brilliant last season, got the call up and two games in now he needs to be out of the team? He seems ok to me. I think Pienaar had a stinker, Distin too was bad as was Mirallas.

He's the new neville. Was decent today and it was pretty much dumb luck that his shot outside the box was blocked as it was probably going in.

...for those who were anti-Moyes this is the style change you were after. I was a Moyes fan, but I would say that if this is going to work we are likely to go backwards before going forwards. My own concerns is that the style of play is too slow for the players we have. My other concern is that we play in the wrong areas of the pitch, more specifically we don't get around the back of full backs. This was a game against a poor side that we could easily have lost. I am concerned but for those who have been pressing for change, I sincerely hope you are right and suppose you are the ones not now complaining.
I have said the style is probably more suited to playing away. If you are a season ticket holder it could be case of taking a good book or watching a game of chess. Could be a bottom 10 position but we win at the rs.

Martinez needs to have his team **** this left right backwards forwards left right backwards passing right off immediately. What's the point of playing it in a triangle if the ball ends up with the person who first had it in exactly the same amount of space as when he first released the ball? Also the fannying around on the edge of the box needs to be turned into shots or through balls, lost count over the past two games how often we tried to tip-tap it between players on the 18-yard line only to mis-pass it or have it nicked off of us.
