Jonjoe for me showed some intensity, despite Gomes goal which was top class, also think he is one of many who is just soft and he got caught out in possession and failed passess numerous times.

It's funny really, I looked back at where we were before the derby compared to now in the lead up to this match. I noted we had 3 "top 6" teams and 7 none top 6 teams. We achieved 0 points from the firmer and 7 from the latter. Had we have got 2 points per game from the other sides (so by no means winning all of them, but more, so for example turning any 3 of Brighton, Watford, Newcastle, Southampton or Leicester into wins we'd have had 40 points. Id we have picked up a couple of draws from the Liverpool/Spurs/City we'd have had 42 which would have been about par given how we were playing.

Imagine that. Being on 42 points, with the 3 above us wavering on 45, 47 & 47. Imagine what we'd all be saying. We'd have really fancied a big push toward the top 4. And you know what, prior to the derby, I bet if you'd have offered someone the above scenario, 2 points a game v none top 6 teams and a couple of draws people would have been disappointed. We haven't deserved any points from games we've lost

We have royally messed this season up. The top 6 are not unreachable. We just keep making a mess of things.
Imigine we won every game 10-0 we'd be top with a goal difference of +250. We haven't deserved anything from any of the games we've lost perhaps should have drawn V Liverpool, and have been lucky in some of the games we've won Huddersfield should of had a penalty. We've been rubbish and it's a miracle that we are still within a shot at top 7.

My original point was, for years evertonians have ripped into the red side of your city for being delusional. Reading through this thread a lot of your supporters could be accused of the same

Which opinions are delusional? I'm sure there are some, as no fanbase is going to have a thoroughly knowledgeable set of supporters, yours included.

I hate to bang on about this but...,

...since those degradations incurred on the FF bogs (aka jigsawed glory holes), our mighty club has suffered mightily.
Who’s to blame you ask?
If I knew the answer to that 64 millioner, I would probably enjoy hospitality freebies in a corporate suite with Blue Bill and ICB*
Suffice to say, something is rotten in the kingdom of L4...and when the truth reveals itself,(as it invariably does), we will ALL be long pushing up daisies.

What you saw today was one well coached team of decent but mostly mediocre players all of whom knew the roles that they had and a collection of individuals who had no idea what they were supposed to do.

That was the worst most insipid display I have seen from an Everton side in 50 years.

There was no effort, intensity or desire and much less team pattern or organisation.

The players are terrible and the manager clueless.
Mate you're not all that.

You have a parasitic way of playing that will soon get found out.

Well organised yes definately.. Forward thinking , absolutely not.
Shut up you will be in the championship were you belong in 2seasons.

So salty!

Met two Everton fans on the train back last night and they couldn’t bear to give Wolves an ounce of praise.

We’ve heard all this nonsense before lads - the foreigners won’t hack it in the Championship, they won’t like the cold, they won’t make the step up as they haven’t got PL experience. Now we’re hearing everyone tell us how it’ll be harder next season and all our best players will be off.

I had a lot of respect for Everton fans in the past but you could genuinely hear a pin drop in the home section yesterday.

Yes, you’ve been in the top flight forever - so what?! One season where you threatened the top four and absolutely jack all else to show for it.

You’re just another set of fans who don’t really understand (or want to try and ignore) what is happening at Molineux. We aren’t here to make up the numbers.

Wolves were good and are a good team.

Michael Keane is rubbish.

The Black Cat sells the Big Issue outside St.Johns.

The amount of 'fans' leaving before the 80th minute is an absolute embarrassment. Let's build a 60k seater stadium so they can all leave early.

I'm sure you are not here to make numbers up, however, you will behave exactly the same as any other club when you find yourselves in a certain set circumstances, such as big offer comes in for said player and yes your manager! Or the results don't go as hoped or predicted, players will be sold managers will come and go.

Blackburn Leeds and they achieved, Birmingham Villa promised big, Southampton performed well with their side for a few seasons and had it dismantled by the big 4, examples from every cycle of premiership football.

We've heard it all before, you are not the first club to come up and give it a good go in their first season, and then slowly fade away... Enjoy where you are now, because history tells everyone it does not last. You underestimate the power of Manchester clubs our neighbors and the two London clubs etc.

Only us and Spurs have ever really challenged.

You’ve proved my final point for me.

We aren’t here to make up the numbers.
You’re 7th in the League and no chance of winning it. It’s the definition of making up the numbers. You may not get any higher. Burnley finished 7th last year. They are still just making up the numbers. We’ve been making up the numbers for decades and have finished higher than that a few times.

Well played yesterday. A deserved win. We are in a rich vein of poor form and it will continue until the season ends. Next season we will back to making up the numbers. See you there.

When Baines gave away the penalty, the response from the crowd was woeful. A few years ago we'd have tried to buoy them up, but instead it was like a morgue!

The only player that received a song yesterday was Coleman; now, I understand he did make a great covering play however overall he was pretty close to woeful.

Why aren't we getting behind the players who are performing? Where's the ol' roar for Z-Cars? Jenas said it yesterday on MOTD that Goodison was a fortress.

Now... well, it's difficult to get any atmosphere. I appreciate that it's a mutual relationship where the players need to entertain us, but we have a duty as well.

A fried yesterday said something and it really made me think - "The only noise Everton fans makes is negative." I couldn't really rebut what he was saying!
I think the thing is there is no drive no one looking motivated for the games, that is something you don't need to be a good footballer to do. No one shouting at others to gee them up. The crowd feeds off that, look at the neville tackle on Ronaldo, he was an awful player but would put it all in and knew when the team and crowd was flat and would then motivate. No one looks bothered and that rubs off on the crowd...

But we loved it. Playing out from the back, no more hoofing. Enjoy while we can, we said, because Barcelona will snap him up, soon. Remember?
referring to the second and third season as opposed to the first. I remember going games in the first like Arsenal away and there was so much movement after the passing, we played sides off the field, then it became not much movement just rely on Rom to get the goals. without the movement there is no point playing a passing game, watch back yesterday and there was literally no one making runs into space or looking to offer and get on the ball when one of the back 4 and gomes got on the ball.
