Irish tony... In general I would agree with your summary apart from Duffy. I thought he did well at centrehalf..far better than Stones.He kept it simple and defended well.

Looking at the goals again it's noticeable that, unbelieavably, Hibbert had been asked to play the wing full back role! For their 2nd and 3rd goals he's 30 yds further up the field when they get possession and is running back to try and get into some sort of defensive position.

he wasn't playing wing back, he was just slow. he only went past the half way line twice.

Like last season, Osman will be useful in games where we need a technical player around the edge of the box to open up teams who just park the bus. There were several examples of this last season where it worked very well.
I still think he's an important player for us, but he shouldn't be starting in CM ever.

Hibbert is done like people have mentioned. I always thought he was a decent defender but he has lost the pace and always has to turn back when being pressed on the ball on the half way line. Big fan of Tony and his attitude but I think he needs to bow out after this season and give Browning the no. 2 role at RB in this coming season as I think he's got all of the attributes. Would be good to give Browning proper game time in the Europa League as I think he'll do well.

The team we put out in the 2nd half is good enough to beat teams in the Europa League, but with Kone upfront, another winger to provide more width, Garbutt at LB and Stones/Duffy(if he's up to it) at CB.
