Everton Youth Teams Thread

No, don’t feel he’d learn anything different there than a League One team. Shocking level of football up there.

He’d be good for a mid-to-low Championship team but the problem is the managers down there can’t risk it.

Disagree, a mid to low level championship team wont take a 19-20 year old centre forward and play them week in week out.
The championship teams tend to take 20-21 year olds on loan, ones that have already been around the u23 sides longer than hornby has

Disagree? You’re agreeing with my post.

you said, send him to the championship, i dont think he would get game time there. A level lower to that were it may not be as good a standard but he gets appearences would be miles better for hi m.

Name a championship side an untested 19 year old hornby would get into

How much Scottish football do you watch?

Which means, he watches the old firm every now and then.

I tear my mate to shreds about the level of the SPL as he's a celtic fan, but the ferociousness, the physicality and the size of some of the clubs (Hibs, Aberdeen, Hearts) would be a better test than being understudy to Will Grigg

So when can we get Hornby starting premier league games then?

Not that i cant wait to see him, its just i cant wait 14 months to start saying he isnt good enough and we need to get shut!
Keep up mate , new phrase is “ He ain’t good enough , send him out on loan to Laegue 2” . Damn him for scoring twice last night, we already had him down as yesterday’s hero in favour of our new beaut Ellis Simms !
