Everton Youth Teams Thread

It has been a while since we had a RB of note. Probably James Yates who I know had some England recognition. Mind you, you'd have to say Kenny has done very well there, and I also like Kyle John. You're rigt though, it's rarely the position when you watch the 18's or 23's that there is ever much talk about.

Even now, people talk about Onyango and Dobbin. Underneath that Reece Welch and Isaac Price are getting mentioned a lot. None are right backs. (Obviously Small is a left back).

wasn’t that lad Astley meant to be a RB of note a couple years ago.. then seemed to go central and now is hardly mentioned it seems to me..

Hello mate, could you post team, score and scorers please if you get any [If you come on today] as this is probably the hardest to find out what is going on as its going on, Unless i somehow find it lol
I don't have a lot of info and the game was behind closed doors. The cup is primarily for 1st year scholars. Three 2nd years are allowed which was Lewis Warrington, Daniel Lowry and Liam Higgins. Goalscorers were Kat and Luke Butterfield.

Thanks mate as always ;) any little bit of Info is better than no Info. [Charlie McNeill was one of the man utd scorers-he off course played v us a few weeks ago]

Unfortunate that left back is the only position we're actually fairly strong at.
He'll probably see the likes of Gordon being blocked by absolute dross and want to leave considering he actually has a quality player ahead of him.
Hopefully signs the deal though.

Yeah you would think that will play a big part in his decision considering Nkounkou is back - up to Digne and he's still only a young lad himself.

Yeh though if we don't qualify for champions league next season I can see Digne looking a transfer

That's the biggest issue for us mate. I think if we got into the Europa league next season then that would be enough for Digne and the likes of Richarlison for now, but if we didn't progress massively then that would be deffo those 2 (Richarlison has already made noises) gone IMO like. Even if there was major progression I still think the lure of teams like Real Madrid, Juve, Bayern etc is a big pull for players.

Dignes contract is up in 2023 so this coming summer he will only have 2 years left.

He will be 28 in July so we will need to either extend his contract (ideally till hes 32/33) or sell him while hes at his peak and 2 years left.

In an ideal world, Nkounkou would be competing with Digne for a spot by season end.

Amazing we have those 2 and Small while looking flat at RB.

He seems very highly rated. Brands obviously fought off challenges for Brainthwaite and got the likes of Gordon and Gibson. Hopefully we can get this lad signed down too. With him, Price, Dobbin and Onyango, plenty of talent there.
