Everton Youth Teams Thread

Well the club appointed him as Director of Academy last year , so he’s much more than U23s Manager as he has involvement with other age groups too. It would be interesting to hear where he thinks his future ultimately lies , maybe as a Director of Football as opposed to a managerial post.
He is going to be a team leader at Slimming World if he's not careful, Jesus Rhino has piled on the timber over the summer months.

Presumably the u18/U23s will also be returning to Finch Farm today, which means the new Scholars coming in too. From memory 7 schoolboys featured in our u18s last season , with two of course also making U23s debuts. At least one , possibly two, were u15s age wise so will not be scholars this year . In the last few years we seem to have been quite late with the traditional “ Meet the Scholars” announcement and video so it may not happen this week.

There is a good young centre half who played up last year whose highly rated apparently.

He’s actually signed a deal , Tierney played up for the u18’s last year he’s definitely rated . Massive blue as well
Aye, Jack Tierney was one of them. Others were Roman Quintyne, Jenson Metcalfe, Owen Barker, Isaac Heath and Saja Manafa. Emilio Lawrence and Coby Ebere also featured but I believe they’re both u15s so scholars next year.
The other name was Jacob Beaumont- Clark who‘s a 2005 dob , got him from Man U, played in the same England teams as Lawrence but I’ve not seen his name recently, maybe next year Scholar?Anybody have any recent info on him?
Itll be interesting to see the full list of Scholars and if any recent incomings.

Between the free YouTube ,paid for Everton Tv , and other club’s feeds there were certainly more U23s games shown last season. We rarely show u18 games outside the Youth Cup though , so we may need a good run again to see much of them , not forgetting the dismal 2 min highlights we get .

I'm certainly not paying my £30 membership fee this season though that's for sure. Complete waste of money.

Well the £10,000 a week wages, which I’ve heard he’s on although I couldn’t confirm that, might make him feel right at home and in no hurry to move on.

I always pay it except last season and thankfully so.
Fair enough, that wasn’t the impression you gave me. Ironically last season was actually an improvement on previous ones for “exclusive “ games. The guff that comes with it , socks , badges , interviews etc is pretty poor , but Ive been happy to pay £10 for streamed game last season for non league games of teams I also follow , so for me our package is acceptable on a pay per game comparison. I wouldn’t argue though that we have been pretty poor for years compared even to the likes of Derby, Leicester etc when it comes to providing free u18/ U23s games.

Nope, just last season. Feel vindicated though as there wasn't a single game provided for the £30 I couldn't find a link to and most we could watch were free anyway. For £30 I want to see most of the games.
