Everton Youth Teams Thread

Our Under 10 and 11 kids are better than anything about.

They're not, Man City mullered our 10s 2 weeks ago. 6-2 in the A v A games & 3-1 in the B v B game although that was good by our B side as they are not the best whilst City have 2 very good sides. Our keeper prevented a cricket score in the A v A game.

We are strong physically but City beat us convincingly and are better by some distance. United also beat us last year and I expect there best team to beat ours again although United don't always field there best team. United have 2 or even 3 very good sides and don't weight them like the us, City & Liverpool do.

It finished 1-0. I watched the U20 game, Griffiths was arguably at fault for their goal. His kick went straight to a German player, who played a through ball past a few England players. The last England defender tried to slide tackle and missed, leaving the German player 1v1 against Griffiths and he tried to come out but ended up going down too early and sort of got chipped.

The rest of the game he played pretty well, came out to collect a few corners and clear crosses. His distribution wasn't too bad apart from his mistake. It would be good to see him in a few more games but it's obviously more difficult for keepers to get near the England teams.

Is there any reason people are paying attention to U10 squads? So much butterfly effect here, not sure what difference it makes determining which U10 squad is better, if that even means anything.

I know a lot about the u10s that's why I made a passing comment about all our teams from u15s down playing Liverpool at the weekend.

Since then I've been asked how they got in and it spiralled.

Not coming at you specifically, and maybe my remarks came off wrong. I agree that we should be interested in the academy down to the development youngest kids, and I hope they do well, but whether then win or lose 10-0 to some U10 squad down the road probably has an indiscernible effect on their development.

Thanks for the info mate, from my understanding, winning games is not a measure of how good the group is, and city are full of absolute giants while we have have quality more technical players.

Example, 2 of Citys teams struggled to beat a grass roots team from bolton.

Scouts at wigan, bury and even a united bloke i know speak very highly of what Everton are doing with 10-15's

I know our tens inside out mate and it's the exact opposite of what you said.

Ours are all physically strong, big lads. City's are all footballers and the best around by quite some way although like the first team, the parents are on big dough cause they've got the elite for this area and when they miss them, they buy them off other clubs like they did this summer.

City have never, ever, struggled with grass roots team from Bolton. If someone tells you that they're lying. They don't even play grass roots teams thereown age, no professional academy do. They only play grass roots teams before they can be signed at 7 & 8 and even then they play a year or 2 above.
