He is a Manchester lad as well but unfortunately we are not alone in the premiership for the best youngsters being enticed by city and Chelsea

I think that argument is nonsense tbh.

When Dyche was appointed we were in the relegation zone, we had just played a number of game that should have been won or drawn but we lost them instead.

Dyche knew what needed to be done to escape relegation and managed to do so, using experienced players to grind out enough points to keep us up.

This season is different, a fresh start for everybody.
If the young players are good enough , they will get their chance.

Dyche did use most of the older players available to him at different times and some ,including Michael Keane, did get a chance and were then left out by the manager.

To keep the boy surely you tell him he will be in the first team squad but playing u23s until he breaks in for first team mins.

Any 17 year old surely would want that and a decent salary.

Could show them an equally long list from ourselves. This is a team that has repeatedly for 2 years named 2 keepers on the bench over a youngster including ISS.
