So far I think it's France, Croatia matches in the Group stages on tv , plus Semis and Final.

Yes I believe so , and that's the odd thing , as you say none of them are eligible on last year's rules., so not as if they have a full fixture list.

Is it that they are taking part in the Premier League International Cup thing that we did last year (and possibly didn't qualify for this season)? Can't really see how it would overload U-21 players since the games seemed to be later and far more random. Didn't the RS also refuse to play in that competition?

We've accepted the invitation but Spurs apparently are the latest to decline, joining the three clubs mentioned earlier.

One of the main issues (from article about LFC possibly refusing) is being forced to play at main stadium, especially with potential fixture clashes.

One of the three league round fixtures clash with U21 international Euro qualifiers
Round 2 - same week as CL & EL final group games
Round 4 - League Cup semi final
Semi final - EL 2nd round, 2nd leg
Final - PL clash near end of season, when some teams have fixture backlog already

As far as I can tell, no proviso to allow PL U21 teams to play away in these rounds (FL clubs will want gate revenue)

This competition is going ahead in this format whether we like it or not. We've always said that our youth don't have the opportunity to play consistently in a competitive environment and this provides it. We should take full advantage of it.
