That's a good draw on paper, 1 League 1 team , 2 League 2 teams. There were more "southern" teams in the League 2 pools hence Cheltenham moved to Northern section, no doubt people will get unduly exercised about that non event.

As a Cumbrian I really hope Cheltenham is the home fixture so then I can easily make all three games depending on when they're played.

Even though its probably bad for the lower league clubs it will be good to see the young lads play against the likes of Bolton.

The 3 games will be interesting.

I see John Ebbrell has been confirmed officially as Unsy's assistant for the u 23/21 s a role he has been doing for the past few months. A great move to keep the continuity of our coaching structure going. He had his spell as u18 manager earlier in the year for a few months so a good progression , and although Martinez's rotation was much disliked it maybe paid off for Ebbrell.

Has Tom Davies signed a new deal yet? Really like the look of him and although he wasnt at his best against MK Dons the other night i liked the way he was going into tackles like it mattered. Think he has definitely got 'it' and will turn out to be a regular for us in the coming seasons. Dowell may have more natural talent and I think will also get game time this year but think Davies will make the bigger breakthrough this year.

Playing Skem Utd tonight, semi final of L'pool senior cup carried over from last season. Interesting to see future stars in action before they become scapegoats and have to endure the groaners *

Draw for the Premier League International Cup has been made.
The competition, which mirrors Premier League 2 in being a mainly Under-23 format, begins with group stages that run from August until December, with the knockout stages taking place in the new year.

Everton, Reading, Athletic Club Bilbao, Hertha BSC

Looks likey Feeney & Foulds are the starting CB pair this year. Garbutt in for Robinson - doesn't look like Luke is first-team material at the minute which is a shame. Also REALLY annoyed McAleny is still getting chances here!

I thought ledson was with the 1st team squad. Did look like him getting on the plane, the picture I seen. And someone else mentioned it on Twitter

I wonder where Kenny is, thought he may have made 1st team trip , looks like RB cover is still up for grabs, not on subs bench either.

maybe given an extra few days off seeing he played 3 games and ledson only 1.
