Everton Youth Teams Thread

So which youth players seem next in line to join the first team? Koeman clearly rated many of the youth, so I'm curious to know who we may see in the coming months.
Lot of people like the look of Walsh and say technique wise he's better than Davies but he's quite small so I get why he's not rushed to the first team. No one else really knocking on the door that isn't loaned out i.e. Connolly or gotten something of a run like Dowell. Hopefully we see more of Calvert-Lewin soon as well. This is on what I've read and small bits I've seen of course

Walsh for me, pennington can do a job seems to devided fans on if he is good or not , i think he is a good steady player, kenny could get the odd game.
None of the otheres an obviouse to come through right now maybe a wild card like the lad we got from coventry or donkor might get a game.
Not one that gets a mention much but i would like williams to get a game underated i think.

I was talking to two of the under 18's a few weeks ago ,, and asked about walsh they said he is really something else, i said but he looked small, both said try getting the ball off him he is really a lot stronger than he looks its not easy. Saying that they were only 15 and 16 i think but both were a bit in awe of him.

Paul Scholes wasn't tall, just saying.

I agree with you but I think Williams might be out for a bit longer - he had that bad knee injury at the end of last season and then sadly picked up another different one in the autumn.
Sad that , good attitude that lad few time i have seen him and has a quitely affective way about him, making things tick over across the pitch , not a stand out skill set but one a football fan can see the merits of.

Walsh is the one next in line I would have thought... Dictates the tempo we play at, technique in abundance and a good level of snide. High hopes for him. Dowell has the ability but flits in and out of games and doesn't affect games as he should do currently. He reminds me a bit of Rodwell who it was always said there was 'too much Birkdale and not enough Kirkdale' about.

Lot of truth in that about Dowell , but he is at a funny stage of devolopment body wise looks to be filling out a lot , till.it settles down think his form might get affected a bit,
good stylish player, said himself he needs to get out on loan to learn to be a man as he put it.
Like a bit of devil.in a player myself , put the lot of them on kick boxing or something one day a week and bully everybody in the league;)

I guess the one thing regarding Dowell is that having shipped out a number of players like Geri and with Kone seemingly surpless to requirements there may be a chance for him to get a first team chance at some point between now and the end of the season. Only really Barkley, Mirallas, Lookman, Valencia, and Calvert-Lewin ahead of him. Potentitally Lennon but it seemed like we were willing to let him go as well. If we continue with the same formation then he may have a chance of making the bench.
