F1 2024 (and other motorsport) thread

Max races hard and is in it to win.
Nice people don’t win races, that is how it is.

Personally I think a ten second penalty was extremely harsh.
Also Norris didn't serve the penalty so should be a grid drop next race

When you cannot serve a penalty and you don't finish (so it cannot be added to the time), it is by default transformed to a grid penalty for the next race.

The incident will be somewhat overblown because it was for the win and it's Verstappen but a 10-second penalty is fair, it was a squeeze, a very small one in-fact but enough of one to instigate contact and DNF another car.

I don't consider it massively dangerous because it happened at the slowest point of the entire track but a ten second penalty that had no effect on his finishing position is fair I think.

There’s a subtle different between racing hard to win, and bordering on dangerous. Now, today’s wasn’t the latter, but we have seen it before.

Max squeezed Lando coming into the corner and kept the lead, yet on the exit he continued to squeeze him rather than take the line.

He’s a bully, plain and simple.

It is negligence from the drivers because the yellow is clear as day, nevertheless they continue at speed.

In terms of the F1 today, I am expecting another snooze fest, with Max comfortably winning at RB's home circuit. I hope I am wrong.
Just came back off the mountains and saw the result. Not seen it yet but seeing as they collided battling for the lead, I imagine it was all Max being his petulant self.

He's a bad, bad tit.
