Moshiri needs to put his money where his mouth is now.
Stones leaving before any major signings coming in will put a massive downer on the atmosphere at goodison for the season opener.
We need to make a statement of intent with regards to incomings, even if it costs more than what we'd like.
Image is very important these days, as we've apparently seen with the reluctance of witsel, koulibaly, mata and carvalho to commit to coming here.
If we continue to be seen as a club that is resigned to losing it's best players whenever a supposed big club is interested then we're not going to increase our following, we're not going to convince better quality players to sign and we risk falling behind on the pitch.
Moshiri has had a period of grace since his takeover but a lot of fans will begin to lose faith in his promises if he's not seen to be capable of providing.

New owner, new manager pre season with Euro in it and insane amount of tv cash floating about. I am as gutted and frustrated as the rest of you at the lack of exciting signings and our prospects looking crap again this year but its important they get it right with signings. We need not look far to see how throwing money at over rated flavours of the month time and again doesnt work *Cough* plop

Also who said Farhad was here to spunk his cash on winning stuff, might be a business investment where he milks our tv money dry. Who knows

  • Appointment of one of the finest managers in world football, a manager touted to be the replacement of Arsene Wenger at Arsenal and Luis Enrique of Barcelona.
  • The clearing of decade-old debts with liquid cash.
  • Public moves to buy our training ground.
  • Public moves to ensure that we have a new, purpose-built, 21st century standard stadium before the turn of the decade.
  • Appointment of one of the finest DoF's in world football, that single-handedly turned Leicester into Championship stragglers into Premier League Champions.
  • The promise of long-term squad investment, with obvious moves being made to secure the services of one of our finest players in Romelu Lukaku.
And yet our heads are falling off.

Embarrassing.

Get a grip, all of you.

top4 ambitions... sure you have...... selling our best playes and getting replacements from championshipclubs and potentially from Swansea, Palace and Sunderland.....

Nothing changed.. apart from we used to have a hope things could change with a new owner... now we know it wont....

Football is played on the pitch and the quality of our available players has gone backwards. We kick off in 4 days, it is legitimate for people to feel frustrated and disappointed.

Will people stop saying Koeman is a world class manager, he really isn't.By a long stretch.

He was the best of a bad bunch available to us.

This utter clown Moshiri has led us all on a merry dance. Absolute fraud.

Comparisons to Lerner are actually offensive to Lerner. He actually spent money.

This. Just because he was Moshiris main man and he threw his weight about and chucked millions more than he's worth at him doesn't make him world class.

It was a massively underwhelming appointment for me and we clearly weren't able to sell or convince the 'Everton project' to top class managers.

They probably saw straight through Moshiri before they even got round the table to discuss it seriously.

Sorry mate you lost me at hello with that first bullet point.

Despite being disappointed with the transfer window, I didn't have any ill will towards the new investment. My beef has always been towards certain supposed ITKs whipping people up into a frenzy and causing a bad atmosphere around the club with their outlandish attention-seeking fantasies.

Have to say though that it now looks like the club are actually selling our best players and deliberately keeping the news from us. It doesn't bode well does it.
100% agree. Certain people are saying there is 100m to spend or whatever and then people take it as gospel and when t doesn't happen feel let down. Unfair on the fans who are being led along tbh.

This has absolutely nailed it. We get a new owner and we're all happy only to find out he's a leech, bleeding the club of its best assets to fill his pockets and sell us lies.

We're stuck with him now till he's bled us dry. Then who'll want to buy us?
