I can't see how anyone can't be pleased and impressed with him tbh. Sure I was hoping for star players etc... But look at what he HAS done ...

Sacked bobby ( would bill have done that?)
Got his manager in
Got Walsh
Sold stones for the second highest fee ever for a defender
And has given those funds to the manager.
We are stronger than when we finished last season
And he has said another 3 players will be signed.

Not much to complain about imo

Don't forget real progress made in the Stadium issue :)

People, and especially those who are banging on about it not being Moshiri's own money being spent on players, seem to forget that he spent £85m of his own money to buy into our club. He has wiped out our debt and is steadying us to compete with the big boys. It doesn't happen overnight.

Lets put it this way Dave, would you have still preferred BK in charge with no money? Give Moshiri a chance. The time he has been there is not that much and as for a stadium issue surely cannot reveal anything at this time. If it was Peel or any other landowner involved they may or could throw their toys out of the pram and tell us to do one.

Not sure how much you or the oth rs want him to reveal??????? Already expressed intent regarding players.
No mate. My point about the new stadium was only that in its absence we rely on commercial activity to boost funds for squad rebuilding. How we do that between now and (hopefully three years down the line when a new stadium is opened) is not clear.

We have two main commercial deals given that we have no interest whatsoever to bring back in-house the catering, merchandise etc. The Kitbag deal as I understand is only renegotiable in 2019. The Chang deal is up soon, but how much can we demand? IIRC we're on just over £5M per annum now with Chang. A club like Spurs are on about £20M per annum with their sponsors. We could probably push for £12M per season at best. So, in the coming couple of seasons at least the non-tv commercial increases look limited to an extra £7M per season, which added to, I believe, the rolling £7M per season wage bill rises permitted by the PL isn't going to make a hell of a difference to the situation and we'd likely have to see another big name out the door.

Until there is a certainty about some details of, for example, the proposed new stadium, it is best for nothing to be said. There will always be conjecture, and some element of 'holding the board to account' but I'm sure the board would not be uncomfortable with that, provided they could release factual information when they deemed it correct to do so. What they will not want to do is be drawn into debate based on what might happen before some facts are cast in stone. I think even if a direct question was put at this point, the answer would be 'we are progressing and will let you know as soon as something definite is known.' I know that's how I would handle it if I were the board. Sometimes there is a thirst for information when there is in fact little or no information available.
I think they have to be very careful, imo. They must surely know that there was massive frustration with the previous regime concerning the direction of the club and the lack of forward momentum that was only grudgingly explained from time to time.

If I was an owner coming into that I'd be aware of that and seek to dispel that frustration.

I've said before I'd be happy if Moshiri just focussed on a new stadium delivery and acknowledged that outside of that (player acquisition and growing Everton's commercial potential) matters would largely continue at the same pace - as its largely out of his control given what he inherited at Everton and the externalities re wages the club faces.

If he's the feller that gives faith to serious commercial developers and the local state that Everton are serious players on the stadium front then he will deserve the plaudits he's hitherto received. I'm pretty hopeful on that, tbh.

Yeah but he's an asset stripper, sold Stones don't you know and will sell Lukaku to his mates at Arsenal.

A joke really. We need to protest.

Moshiri never spoke to us for weeks then gives us a little snippet just before Danny Gabidon came out with the real news. No coincidence if you ask me. We know who runs this club.

I see what you are getting at... Gabidon is Moshiri, Moshiri is Gabidon! Well i've never seen them together!!!

:p

But who is Gabiddon/Moshiri???

The twitter generation are so hungry for everything now. How do these people deal with real issues in real life?

They don't. They expect someone else to take care of things for them.
My word. I don't even have any social media but am from this generation and things like this are so tedious. People have been and always will be just people. That is until the cyborgish implants start to happen.

I'm also of this generation. You don't think technology, 24 hour "news", social media and instant gratification entertainment has changed people?
