Apparently (not in my view like) he's one of the best defenders in Europe already (Stones). Like for like would have been the order of the day. Instead the cash went to pay for some huff and puff player from a relegated outfit and a winger who neither scores goals or provides assists.
Mega lolz!!

We brought in Williams too, who is the better pure defender. So it was 3 for 1.

By and large agree with you on Bolasie, but that seems very harsh on Gueye, especially for the fee. He's looked tremendous so far.

Clearly nobody has noticed that David has spent the last 12months calling Stones every name under the sun and as soon as hes sold hes Franco Baresi JR.

Despite the pressure to sign, and the frustration in not signing people who got very close, one of the major things that have become apparent in recent weeks is that neither Moshiri nor Koeman will be pushed into deals if there is any aspect of the deal they are not satisfied with.

Witsel is a classic example when his people just kept pushing and pushing, in the end he might have said he wanted to go to Juve, but the reality is that we would not concede his final demands. Similarly in recent days a player thought most likely to join us, hasn't because the manager had reservations and the tougher decision not to proceed was taken.

Might be tough in the short term, in terms of numbers coming in, but it says a huge amount about the quality of people we have brought in, and the single mindedness of Moshiri, Koeman and Walsh

Despite the above, we're still going to add before the window closes, and it won't be through desperation but people we want on the terms we want.

Further to that, we'll still have a huge transfer budget come January or next Summer, should we not bid a huge amount on a marquee surprise next week which I am still hoping on.

Sorry its a grey area from what I can see.

So lets assume im totally guessing here, but, from what I can see, clubs submit the forms in March, which means it would run from season to season, which means our STCC benefit from the Stones sales expires in March.

VERY GREY.
I believe @The Esk may have mentioned we have until the end of May a couple of months back. I may be wrong there but that is what is sticking in my mind. He'll confirm soon I am sure when the fishing ends for the day ;)
