I totally agree that the public relations performance of the club is shocking. We have a virtually silent CEO and a Head of Communications who never communicates. Quite incredible really.
Any decent PR team would have advised FM that that tweet he sent (allegedly) was a poor one. What are they getting paid for??
The club desperately needs to issue a statement reaffirming the direction it is taking and hopefully announcing the land purchase for the new ground. I am seriously unnerved at the moment...

Alas it will always remind me of Southampton 2 Everton 0 (Alcaraz OG and Coleman OG)

Hideous.
Even that had a "so Everton you have to laugh otherwise you'll cry" element to it!

i'll always associate it with the Arsenal home win and Coleman doing keepy uppies for half the pitch

Anyhow, Moshiri - can understand why he is mostly silent in the press if he puts his foot in his mouth this badly.

Imagine it's because they don't have to.

The idea of taking stakeholders and customers along with you on the journey appears to be foreign to or a contemptible waste of their time to these petty princes.

He did mate, the club would of been all over it, plus White has gained nothing by it, aside from the notoriety of having a billionaire friend. It's a mistake from Moshiri, nothing more, we should thank him really as it's an international week and being honest the bedwetters are entertaining.
I actually agree with this. I don't think it's a huge deal. He wasn't probably even aware what happened last night or how it had been reported by Sky and all he said was that we had no interest in him and we rate McCarthy higher.

Which as it has turns out looks to be entirely true if Sissoko is also not lying which I doubt he is.

What has gone wrong is the club are claiming one thing (due to probably a phantom bid being put in) and them and Moshiri aren't on the same page. He must be livid at them to be made to look a fool.

The thing is, it would appear nobody wants to put it to the very highest hierarchy that something really should be done and even if they did, I suspect they have no real idea of how to express what they would need to say.

Sports clubs really do need to employ seriously experienced media personnel.

Just about anybody can write a good news story, it takes serious, serious skill to write a damage limitation/bad news story.
