Actually, the concept of a phantom bid is genius. Agree a fee with the club to distract the player, get them to re-route to Goodison then dilly dally til the deadline passes. Hey presto, no 30m spent, and Spurs don't get the player either!

I love reading yours posts. It's great to have somebody on here with a good knowledge of how professional football clubs operate and you obviously have contacts quite high up within the club itself.

I just feel as though you're your own worst enemy at times in the manner of your postings; i.e.the definitive nature of them. You set yourself up to be shot down by the doom merchants.

If you said something like "my gut feeling is that we will have new CEO" you're still getting your point across without putting a gun to your head should it not happen within the next 10 days or so.
