I wish it was a cause for a yawn mate.

I take on the esk's contextual explanation of the significance of this, but I do think we need a bold plan stated upfront in the next few days from Moshiri all this is maybe not what it at first seems.
Spot on Sir David the key words being "in the next few days" so lets see in unfold eh...but for now chill, have a beer its been a great weekend ;)

The nonsense point was relating solely to you saying this looks like the Earl situation.

That, is nonsense. As well you know it.

TBF it could be like the Earl situation, the only difference is a larger number of shares have changed hands - it may well not be, but this guy isn't obliged to pump his own money into the club or build us a ground. We simply don't know what the plans are at this point, there may be opportunity there may just be a status quo - we just don't know.

In regard to Earl, many forget that when he originally came we spent a lot of tranfers quite soon after, Yakubu, Baines, Manny Fernandes bid - not that he put money into the club, but being a shareholder meant that we could tap up better credit.

It's possible, this guy might invest nothing, but may enable us to access better credit I.e. The ability to borrow for a new ground.

This deal gives a lot to be optimistic about - Bill, love him or hate him, is a fan and is still the chairman. He understnds the club and wants its best - and can pass tht knowledge, history and passion onto a man who may well be able to, and willing, help the club financially and with his business acumen. What is more, a man with a track record of being interested in football at this level.

The deal with the yanks would have probably left everton as merely an asset from which TV money could be milked in return for the occasional action to appease the fanbase.

On the other hand - financial fair play will stymy and chance of a big outlay and re-building - so we'll have to earn the ability to spend and this will take tim, for which we have to be patient.

Taking time and earning success is way more about what sport should be about than having a massive open chequebook to buy success - and therefore, I'm hugely more happy with this deal than if we'd become the next Chelski or Citteh.

I do listen to him mate. But I think @The Esk would agree that communication is key now.
But why borrow trouble Dave? Why not wait at least until the ink is dry before worrying about the details - you moaning on here isn't going to make a blind bit of difference either way. So tbh you just look like you are winding youself up for no purpose or even worse trying to do the same to others.

Earl appears to be out and it is illogical to assume that someone would trade a comfortable Arsenal holding for a much riskier Everton one without some solid plans to progress the club - that is good enough for me at the moment to enjoy my weekend and suggest you do the same!

I'm not asking for anything now. I'm saying the next few days. That's fair enough for such a momentous development isn't it?
