Half of the premier league owners are but they're not all challenging for titles are they? Maybe you need to lower you expectations a little, a new ground is a giant leap forward and he needs time to deliver that.
Leicester City won the league last year with players who've been found out to be average at best. A billionaire takes us over and the first substantial bit of transfer business is selling our most promising young player in nearly two decades. Would like to see something happen... there is a bit of a bad feeling surrounding the club at the minute for me.

I'm not feeling it but if you are there's nothing more I can add to that. If you want to bring everyone else down to your level of disillusionment go right ahead but personally I'm feeling positive. Have a good day sir. :) :bye:

It's the same old BS. Yeah, yeah, we made a 60 million pound bid, but it just happened to be for a player who was not for sale, and we ended up having a negative net spend in reality.

I am very happy to be wrong, because if we were making real 60 million pound bids for defenders in the summer then we can expect a few more 60 million pound 'bids' during January. If we have that level of expenditure available then we should have no problem signing VVD, and we will soon be bringing in world class players. But I bet you we don't spend anywhere near that amount of money collectively, never mind on one player. If we had that type of cash available then it's completely criminal for us to have started this season with just one striker and a load of crap midfielders who need binning.

It's BS. Moshiri isn't confirming anything but hot air and BS!

More to the point, if we did make a 60 million pound bid.......then where has that 60 million gone now?

When you buy a player, you don't usually pay the whole amount up front, usually spread over two or three years, so bidding £60 million doesn't mean you have £60 million in the bank or facilities.

no, but you are willing to commit 60 million in business, which correct me if i am wrong, leaves a gaping hole in transfer business planned and actioned?

See, as much as i can hope that come january that 60 million budgeted appears again and we can do business, sadly this isn't the first time we have apparently had money to spend and it has vanished between august and january. Especially considering it is normally under the tag line of 'it is tough to do business in january'.

Call me pessimistic all you want, unless 60 million worth of transfer deal appear, then on the face of it the bid was kinda another phantom bid.

I honestly thought the days of fake bids were over, but it seems like they are here to stay. We were also told that the sale of Stones was required in order to substantially increase our wage bill, and yet a few weeks later Moshiri is on the radio trying to BS us that we can not increase our wage bill by more than 7%, acting like the 50 million pound sale of Stones never happened. I expect more fake bids, excuses and hard luck stories come January.

Obviously wasn't fake though was it

It's a pity we couldn't spend that £60M last summer, because there's going to be a stadium to pay for soon, and we cant be doing both that and squad investment from now on. Unfortunate that like....:coffee:
