Hopefully without the slave labour and worker deaths.

The majority of deaths during construction over there happen on infrastructure projects where they have the expertise within the country to do them, on most large projects such as stadia, they're greatly reduced as they are built on the standards of the companies involved which due to the specialisms are often European or US parent companies, but thats for another day..... 1 anywhere is too many, regardless of project or country.

It's not so much what he's said as what he's done. You don't normally double your stake in a Company that you no longer wish to hold.

whole lotta this in regards to the Russkii:

I'm not going any farther than one person invested in 49.9% stake in Everton.

All this Usmonov talk.

Surely whether he wants more of Arsenal or not, if him owning 30% is profitable in its own right then why would he change that? He doesn't have the split the profits with his mate either anymore.

Granted i have very little knowledge on how it all works, but if the fella is rich enough to own his own club and still chooses to stay at arsenal, then perhaps he is happy enough doing so?

..then why would Moshiri change that too ?

None of us know what usmanov will do or why in reality even those of us as smart as the esk.

The man's thought process is likely to be a lot different to any of us on here.

Regarding moshiri it was reported in the guardian I believe that his deal would be rubber stamped today so hopefully that happens.

I'd also expect him to already have a plan list formulated since he will have changes he will want to introduce right away.

I'm sure that list will have :
Sorting out our commercial side
Stadium issue (bound to take a while)
Sorting out big player contracts
And sponsorships of course .

Whilst this will probably be delegated to the staff he will eventually being in I'm interested to see the changes over the next 18 months

He can't not buy Finch Farm back IMO.

It would be a good sign of intent, it would help the relationship with the council, he probably had to take a moment when he found it what the deal with it actually was.

It could be considered a pointless sign of intent, the buy and lease back released current capital when we needed it, and it might simply be a case of leaving well alone, with more pressing priorities. The main advantage a billionaire has over someone like Bill(who, incidentally, has played a blinder over all this), is the ability to acquire more borrowing when it is deemed neccesary.

We can't currently make any changes to finch farm without owners approval when the managers moyes and Martinez have wanted to.

If we purchase it its ours to do what we want with and increases the value of the club.

The Arsenal shares are held in Red and White Holdings because the Arsenal Articles of Association allow Kroenke to block the transfer of shares greater in number than 1% of the shares in issue.
Looks like Kroenke wrote the Articles himself. Can't understand why Usmanov would continue to hold a very substantial block of shares that give him limited benefits in Arsenal, unless, of course, he is satisfied with the situation.
