Insanity
“doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”

So rumours are that Moshiri wants rid of the lot, Kenwright, Walsh, Elstone, Rooney etc
A clean slate which is needed as the above quote says we have been doing the same thing with the same people for 20+ years
A clean unsentimental look at the club from top to bottom with highly driven qualified people who want to succeed and not just reminisce about former glories
Could be great, could turn in to a nightmare but we really have to try something different and reinvent ourselves

Absolutely right. Get rid of the “jobs for the lads” culture we’ve got and get the best of the business in instead. It’s no wonder the team and fans don’t have a winning mentality when all our staff are serial losers.

If this happens, moshiri could go down the kamikaze route of wanting immediate success by bringing in a new manager, dof, and virtually a new team in the space of 1 season.
I think there will be no big in comings, plenty of out goings and the new guys, if they ever arrive will be told...first job lids, polish the turds we've got as best you can for 1 season and well see where we are.

But then you won't be able to attract a decent manager, if you want someone decent they usually bring in their own backroom staff and want a substantial transfer budget.

At the very least, 2 defenders 1 midfielder and 1 striker have to be bought in, and for that your looking at over 100m.

IF there is a big clear out a new team will have taken their 30 pieces of silver and will do as they are told

Big summer this for the mosh!! In my opinion he’s dug himself an almost inescapable hole.
When he first came in he give the big shouts. Promised everything and to a battered fan base he seemed like the king. Instantly raised expectations and in the 2 years since has slowly battered the fan base back down to the kenright years. (Some people now are ok with Allardyce as manager)

Which leads us to now, it’s clear that a massive upheavel is needed to regain some of the original trust. The upheavel needed though is on a monumental scale with at least 5 senior people losing their jobs, which will more than likely cause a Little instability for a while. I can’t think of any clubs that have done it with any form of success shortly after. Are we as fans willing to give it a few years??

Which brings me to Moshiris almost inescapable hole. If he doesn’t ring the changes needed in the summer then all good grace with the majority of the fans will be gone and I don’t see a way back for him. he does ring the Changes and it doesn’t work out or we enter 2-3 years of mediocrity then he will ridiculed and blamed again. The hope is infact he does ring the changes and it does work, it’s the only way out of the hole for me, he’s put himself into the position where he has to gamble now, there is no other way for me.

His one saving grace is the stadium. Every time there is an update the small print seems to get bigger or another hurdle is put into place. The already battered fan base is hanging on to any positive but there is also a niggle that says it won’t happen. I’m normally one of the most optimistic blues but I’m certainly having my doubts now too.

I just hope he gets it right this summer, he seems to have good funding and he Didnt get to where he is by being soft, he maybe just needs a little bit of luck.

It took Spurs and City a few goes, before they got it right mate, even that shower across the park ballsed it up big time with Hicks and Gillett.

I`m hoping that he`s learnt from his mistakes over the past two years and hopefully will be able to be in a position to put things right this time.

One things for sure, is that even with the right manager / DOF / CEO, it`s going to take minimum a couple of years to sort out the current mess.

This
He has messed up the recruitment once already. He now has a second bite of the apple, if he messes up again he will be in deep ****.

I can see kenright gone aswell this summer, moshiri will want to do things his way.

I don't really have any issue with him at all, other than the decisions he has made so far about personnel

Koeman, Walsh, Allardyce, etc

Progress appears to have been made on the stadium and he's certainly provided more backing from a financial perspective than I had imagined he would.

That's all well and good, but if he doesn't get the right people in on the football side, none of it really matters

DoF, manager and chief exec are all appointments he needs to make this summer and they're all huge appointments

This is what supporting some of those basket case clubs we used to laugh must have felt like. A bizarre owner completely out to lunch; fire fighter manager who despises the fans; arl arse players determined to cling on like a leech sucking the blood out of the wage bill because they'll never get paid like it elsewhere; fans scratching their heads about what they have to say more to get through to said bizarre autocratic owner; media looking on bemused at it all because they think they're also rans and should just STFU and accept being in the PL as 'the big time'.

That's down to this carpet bagger. It all dates from the moment he slithered through the door with his BS promises and weak smiles. An utter blight on the club.

Just for one minute try to imagine yourself as Moshiri...... would you be asking yourself what the posters on GOT want and how can I give it to them ?
I am not trying to be smart but that is the difference between us fans and the billionaire Moshiri who is extremely wealthy, owns a majority stake in the club, is juggling the finances for a new stadium possible in negotiation with another investor to come in and share the risk at Everton while at the same time get his hands on as much of the action in the development of the docklands as he can while running his existing businesses at the same time.... and breath.

To be fair to you Dave when you start to chew on a bone you rarely give it up easily.
