The Echo lads (ex and current) are great at times like this. Their unearthing of social media rumours becomes utterly rigourous. We owe them a debt really. :coffee:

It's a beautiful thing really, I'm expecting the Echo to post a breaking news about BFS at 6pm tomorrow when it'll have been doing the rounds on the red tops, Twitter and Sky since the morning

I'd like to harbour some optimism toward the effecting of rapid and dramatic change, but Everton is less a harbour than a rickety old jetty on a muddy tidal estuary. The blockbuster cash from player sales has been entirely wasted and I cannot see Mosh dipping any further into his own pockets.
For the next 2-3 seasons at least we are in for more mediocrity league position-wise...hopefully though, the quality of football is improved because it's been beyond dire.
We have a squad of unmotivated cart horses and yard dogs...they'll be sticking around to pick up their 50-100k a week and feed their fat bellies with full English breakfasts.
And yes, yes, I appreciate the lads put on a fab Blue Chrimbo...but just like the slapstick comedy that is Everton FC, I'm tired of all the pantomime.

The chorus to World Party's 1986 excellent song 'Ship of Fools' succinctly articulates my present feelings toward the current failure that is Everton:

Save me. Save me from tomorrow
I don't want to sail with this ship of fools
Where's it comin' from?
Where's it goin' to now?
It's just a - It's just a ship of fools

World Party.....the only sensible two words mentioned in the whole of this thread....'kinell 'kinell....Superb !! lollollollollol:cool::cool::cool:

Just read the club’s announcement about the board of directors’ reshuffle. My first thoughts were - underwhelming.

Seems like much of the same. An in-house appointment of a CEO and Jon Woods remaining on the board.

I also noticed Keith Harris saying there are still ‘significant hurdles’ to overcome in regards to the stadium. Doesn’t sound good when we are imminently meant to be submitting a planning application.

These people aren’t going to change anything. We’ll carry on ticking over as the best of the rest, but we’ll never go anywhere. Getting less and less confident about the stadium with each passing week.
