Oh fair enough then. It really does make me wonder why Moshiri has kept him on as Chairman then if he has no say at all anymore.

I get the whole advisory story, but an advisory Chairman ?

The cynic in me can't help but think there's more to it but then again who am I to know.

*sigh*

Like I have said more than a few times, the Chairman role is largely a ceremonial one. (Unless he owns 51% of it) It carries little power, but is the "face" of the club when needed. Bill is also well connected.

But 100% of the power at EFC is Moshiri shaped. (with a nod at a big yacht somewhere)

I think also, Moshiri is Monaco based where as Bill is UK based, so it's a UK "face" like you say to represent the club at all the games as Mosh is not always there.

Needs to flex the cash the cash in January.

We are 2 points more than 13th place.

Silva so far has the same win % as BFS with 37.5%.

To be 7th place with a 37% win rate shows we are miles away from being in the top 6, Won't be long until United pull away from us as they will spend in january.

Chairman of the board is by definition, a 'non-executive director', and that means that they are only on the board in an advisory capacity.

'Executive directors' are on the ground floor involved in the day-to-day running of the business.

Both types of directors are appointed by the shareholders, and since Moshiri has 51% majority stake in the company, what he says goes.

I don't think there is any urgency to spend. It would be good to get a striker in but we need to work with what we've got too. Bernard needs to continue to improve, Lookman too.
We aren't ever going to match the spending of Liverpool or City, and of course we've got a new manager with a totally different way of playing.

Look at Pochettino and what he's done with the likes of Alli, Kane and Trippier. We should want to emulate that rather than make risky January signings.

Unless there's a no brainer, I'd be happy with this squad until the summer.

Thought you were top. Why do you need to spend in January?

Yes there is
Gomes needs to be signed permanently, what was brands thinking not putting an option to buy on the loan deal.
If he offered 30m they would of snapped his hand off.

2 strikers are also needed.

Gives them a few months to bed in if bought in Jan.
