The question is, how long until he pulls the plug? He has got absolutely nothing for his investment, not even a Derby win. He hasn't even seen Goodison rocking. You could put forward a case for this being the most boring spell in our entire history I'm sure.

How exactly does he pull the plug? He bought his just under 50% share in us for about £87.5m which valued the club then at about £175m. He now owns 66.8% and that will rise to 77.2% by July this year. I'm no mathematician but having already issued loans for £250m with no repayment date, how does he sell a club that owes him much more than he spent on it, a hell of a lot more. Basically with the equity loans he would need to get close to half a billion to walk away with nothing. Are we worth £500m?

In the words of BK back then "After an exhaustive search, I believe we have found the perfect partner to take the club forward," I doubt there's a buyer out there that would be that interested knowing that they'd need that kind of cash and a decent amount more for a stadium, when there are many other clubs that would suffice. Especially considering the time it took BK to find one.

No, he's locked in and going nowhere any time soon. We may see a partnership at some point or we may not. I was a little worried by some of the things he said at the AGM but I could be wrong. He came here thinking he would be getting a new stadium for nothing with the commonwealth games, that isn't happening.

I worry that any prospective investors will look at the equity loans and think we're a massive risk. I'm no financial expert so minds immeasurably superior to mine will come and tell me how it's nothing to worry about and normal business practice.

A point many have made is his footballing knowledge. A series of poor appointments have cost us a fortune and still are. It's easy to look back in hindsight and criticise but when you consider the £250m thrown in in loans and the money from big transfers out then the magnitude of the incompetence is staggering. Had half of that money been spent more wisely and with better appointments then we wouldn't be writing off yet another season at the start of February.

Now we have fans calling for Silva to be sacked, I get it. But with that sacking comes more expense, more disruption. It's very possible that more than likely Silva will be given much more time and I agree with that. If there's not to be a Usmanov waiting in the wings then we need to let the manager build his own team, ditch the players that won't make the effort.

I do believe that we will have BM, I hope Silva finds a way to get the players firing.

How did Randy Lerner pull the plug? How does Mike Ashley go by year by year failing Newcastle? Don't act like it's not within the realms of reality that the same could happen here.

Please go ahead and explain how he finds someone to pay him half a billion, please. Especially when BK couldn't find anyone when the price was £87.5m for 49.9%. He simply won't and cannot pull any plugs.

Most of that is pretty basic, but acceptable conjecture, but the bit about 'a free stadium from the commonwealth games' is way off the mark. Those in certain places knew that there was not a cat in hells chance of the games coming to Liverpool. Birmingham was virtually a shoe in from day one, with the backing of Seb Coe and the London games crowd. Anderson and a few others quite rightly supported the Liverpool bid,but it was in reality never a goer.

He can stop investing. He can grow bored of his new found toy and cut his loses now. How many years can he replicate what has happened up until now?

There is absolutely nothing stopping him from saying we will never compete with the top teams and just plod along in a similar vein to Kenwright did for 20 years.

I see Marco getting loads of stick.

I see Moshiri getting loads of stick.

Why does Brands get a free pass? What makes him more credible than the other two?

He could just stop with the spending and take all the TV revenue money until he is repaid.

Think Lerner, think short, think venkys..

It could happen for sure.

Because the recruitment is not the problem. Mina is quality, Digne is quality, Gomes is absolute quality - the problem is what we are asking them to do, which is play in a system that has failed for four and a half seasons now.

Any player brought in to this system would look terrible after a while; that is after all why Niasse never looked better than when he had gone months without playing in it.

You state these players beigg quality as though it's fact... It's just opinion. I don't necessarily blame Brands for the recruitment. He has an incredibly difficult job, one which is bordering on impossible. Bridging the gap to the 6 means he has to be pretty much flawless.

I refuse to blame Moshiri for what he's done since buying us. You could argue that he has made poor appointments but hindsight is wonderful.

He sacked Martinez when 99% of fans wanted it to happen and rightfully so.

When we brought in Koeman and Walsh you could see the logic behind it - Koeman had done brilliantly with Southampton (outperformed Poch), Walsh had just been credited with buying the players and being heavily involved in Leicester winning the league.

Big Sam was a terrible choice but he wasn't the first choice at the time. It was Silva who was coming off the back of success abroad, a good attempt at keeping Hull up and a fine start to the season with Watford. Big Sam was the worst case scenario and you can easily argue that he did well to get results and finish 8th - Moshiri also made the right choice sacking him at the end of the season to look to the future.

Brands in particular is the best appointment so far (not much competition I know..) as he's bought brilliantly and despite the poor team performance you can clearly see the quality individuals in the team have.

He must be absolutely fuming at the state of the club since buying us.
