Would be good, but very little if no chance of Gazprom...
I know for absolute 100% cast-iron fact that contact was initiated by Everton with Gazprom two years ago, and despite pleasant and amiable discussions with European HQ based in Switzerland, Gazprom advised that their interests in football for the then foreseeable future were aligned to the CL plus their deals in situ with Schalke, Chelski and clubs in Russia.

This, Gazprom other than their existing club contracts see their sponsorship activities focused on UEFA and FIFA.

will he be unveiled on Saturday. eg enter Goodison on a Blue and White horse wearing the obligatory scarf and holding the shirt with his name on the back?
I like your thinking there...

Roberto's quotes from this morning:

"We are all looking forward to seeing that chemistry with the fans and welcoming a new Evertonian into the family. It is a really exciting moment to look forward to. I have not spoken to him since the deal was ratified. Nothing has been set in place in order to start that working relationship.

‘The first step was to get the approval from the Premier League, the next step is, I am sure, Mr Moshiri is going to fall in love with Goodison Park and our fans and then we will have a working relationship. It has given everyone a boost.

Martinez added: ‘There were a lot of things behind the scenes that were waiting for a little push and all of a sudden that has happened. Everyone can see the effect of Mr Moshiri arriving at the football club.

'The chairman has always been pushing to take Everton to the next level and this is the start of a new beginning and clearly that brings excitement.’

It looks like the years of stagnation are behind us. Very interesting comments.
Cant trust a word he has to say to be fair.

Well after this thread well and truly dipped its toes in the lunacy pool yesterday (yes some needed a snorkel!), where will it go today?

I thought it was interesting that Elstone was front and centre of the BBC coverage of the away fan ticket BBC national coverage yesterday (early evening news). Led me to wonder if that was him getting himself out there to impress the new owner or to start to turn his CV around for the new job search?

Interesting times ahead and whilst it is not going to happen overnight and we must try to remain patient. My biggest hope at the moment is that the communication of what is happening at the club is as open and forthcoming as it can be without undermining or putting plans at risk.
Weren't Everton the only club to agree to lowering away ticket prices, before it was enforced?

Sounds promising, but martinez could have made those lads from the flat in Manchester sound exciting and phenomenal.

Hopefully they will come out soon with some sort of message about what the clubs intentions are for the future.

didn't see that - know there is rumours for the weekend but that it. Be interesting to see if he was though...!
You would think he would have to be either there or finch farm at some point though wouldn't you?, unless owners just conduct all their business from their own officers now and only go to the ground/training ground for press briefings etc

Read somewhere he will be at Goodison for the game against Chelski. Hope they let him out onto the pitch to give everyone a look at his wallet, hang on though, is he any good at defending?
