Moshiri and Everton can be filed under the well known phrase "be careful what you wish for"
For years we hoped and prayed for a multi millionaire benefactor to come to our rescue. When we eventually get one we get one so devoid of footballing dealings that we find ourselves in a civil war amongst our fanbase.
As many have already pointed out, the BMD project is his umbrella against all the slingshots heading his way.
In my simple world, I find it hard to criticise him purely for that. But that was on the basis we would tread water while the new stadium was built. To be honest, now I'm thinking it's a millstone around our neck.

I’m afraid his recent actions suggest precisely the opposite

Which makes it all the more alarming

Everyone was on Brands' back so perhaps why he went along with it, Benitez is a football person and appears to have complete control at the moment so maybe he has listened...

The problem is he's given they keys to someone we don't want in charge. That said if FSW replaces Coleman in this window and gets a new central defender, then hopefully he will have made the choices that didn't seem to be happening and his replacement can reap the benefits.

So we spend less money but end up 10th you'll be happy as at least we aren't wasting it? It's not your money Tim and he's not loading the club with extra debt - so I don't see the point.

Besides look at all our transfers for the last few seasons, we've spent fairly reasonably and mostly on younger players compared to the array of 30 milion and couple of 40 million purchases we had prior to that. So isn't that what you want anyhow?

The stadium won't instantly turn around our fortunes and make players swarm to the club but it won't be the millstone around the neck that the Emirates was to Arsenal and most importantly it makes more attractive to potential new investors, everyone who wants Moshiri out should see this as a big positive in my book.
It is the clubs who incurs the losses and I support this club

We cannot continue to spend so much, and thats as much wages as fees. We attract players here for a final pay day who have no interest in bettering themselves. Until we change how we recruit we will keep declining.

I suspect Moshiri will be firmly involved with identifying targets at some level

We don’t know exactly how the Ukrainians transfer came about but it’s possible it could be one of his Usmanov connections that has sorted that deal out.

You'd have given one if they'd won the title and they were in your face.
I’ve seen them win many titles and had them in my face, they don’t really even bother getting in our faces too much theses days, they see us as an irrelevance, Manchester United are their arch enemies these days.

I’ve always kind of liked your posts in a strange way and, at times, found you amusing, but, your wish for us to lose at Chelsea and telling us that yesterday didn’t matter, because Liverpool only drew at Chelsea. You’ve crossed a line mate, in your attempts to be controversial you’ve become ridiculous.

I hope you accept this in the manner it was said. I know you won’t though, there will just be more guff from you showing how you are right and the rest of the world is wrong.

Think all the managers he’s appointed have been give an equal level of power, how they have used it is what’s different imo.
Can’t imagine Brands was on entirely board with Walcott under Gravy guts, or Allan / James under the Italian turncoat.
Perhaps his passivity in such deals was his undoing, where’s as Tapastits appears to be throwing his (considerable) weight around. Perhaps it’s exactly that sort of ‘leadership’ Moshiri has been seeking. Results will bear out his decision making in due course.

Agreed, but both full backs are young and I doubt on big money.

When we secured Ancelotti we gave him Allan and Rodriguez and you can understand that, wouldn't you back Carlo with everything you could? So I can understand why we went over Brands at that point.

Let's hope not, it's of course possible but I don't want to throw the young lad under the bus until we see him play. Hopefully he's good.
