What annoys me is that Kenwright looks to still think he's in the power seat at the club, the way he gegged in on the interview and gave the lionshare of it. Thought he was also out of place backing the managers position as well. For me he was like the dad told to sit down whilst the son served the Xmas roast yet was still trying to be the main man, struggling to take that back seat.

I just hope Moshiri is his own man and has the power to hire and fire whoever he wants across the whole club, and not be threatened with the veto from Bill.

Kenwright was sucking up to moshiri the entire interview and practically begged him not to sack Martinez... It is obvious who the real power at the club is now.

This might sound a bit abstract but when we reflect and look back and see what Bill and Moyes did for Everton. We hung in there in face of relegation, no money, pulled ourselfs up the league and stabilised. Moyes having to sell the odd gem he created. Bill and Moyes are the dirt this Moshiri tree will grow from. I mean that in the most complementary way.

"If you know your history. Then you would know where you're coming from."
Pffft!

There's a division of labour that has to hold for the next few seasons ahead: Kenwright (health permitting) will be responsible for the football decision making, while Moshiri and his team will be looking to increase revenue and sort out private sector partnerships - more especially with regard to stadium naming rights which could provide much of the shortfall on our end of the funding, which has dogged us in years gone by - and twist arms in local, and perhaps national, government on the matter.

Usmanov can't be a dyed in the wool Gooner, given than he sent Moshiri to try and buy the RS in 2005...

Not to say he's got any intention of joining his mate now, but I still think it could be a longer term possibility

Good article that hadn't seen it before, liked this point

“Be assured, he is a million miles away from a Peter Ridsdale seeking attention,” a business associate of Moshiri advised.

“He is low key, smart and a genuine lover of football. He is a league above some of the others Bill has been meeting over the last few years.”

Wouldn't worry too much about Deulofeu mate, the club has a one year option as well in his contract, so not desperate to get him a new contract yet

as for FFP and wage limits, Dave for the premiership FFP is to all intents and purposes dead, so much money coming into the teams now that combined with FFP being relaxed hugely it has made it something completely irrelevant in real terms, as for wage limits - generally they are liked to be kept as a % of the clubs turnover - so will be going up hugely for all clubs once this deal comes in the summer, after that should rise as Moshiri starts to sort out the mess on the commercial side as well.

Howard(50k), Pienaar(60k), McGeady (35k), Gibson(35k), Hibbert(15k), Osman(35k) all out will free up 230k pw or so for players who (Howard aside) have featured between little and not at all this season
Are tv deals included in 'clubs own commercial revenue'? I'd thought not.

I know there's an increase in the amount you can overshoot the excess limit but nowhere near what would be required if Everton are to start competitive wages to keep the big hitters away from star players.

@The Esk , apologies if this has been asked already, but what in your opinion (and to the best of your knowledge) will be Moshiri's priorities and objectives once he's got his feet under the table? There's been a lot of comments from Roberto about initiatives that had been in the background now able to be accelerated, and also from posters claiming 'this is the Moshiri effect already'. Has he really made an immediate impact?
