Too much of the ground is already built

New mestalla stayed partially built for over a decade and is now finally being redesigned with a much lower capacity. There are no guarantees when you are talking about 100s of millions.

we'll have to see, mate. i reckon it's dependent on our Prem status, and i don't see where the points are gonna come from to secure it.
It could be, see I was told the boxes are 9 grand a year and you have to sign up for three seasons, 27k, nobody is doing that without the chance of a visit from United, City and Liverpool

it's a hell of a lot better than where we've been since Mosh took over.

Nil satis nisi optimum sounds a bit hollow when regularly hovering near the relegation zone, and consistently getting spanked out of cups early.

It’s hollow because it’s rarely or if at all, adhered to. Might as well remove it.

Bring back knives to a gun fight and the magnificent seven dvd releases. That more than satisfied a fair number of you.

mid-90's to 2013 we won the FA Cup, finished top 6 a bunch of times, had a few memorable cup runs & Euro adventures, and a handful of great players and classic matches.

2014-2022....not so much.
Ok. So 1 FA Cup plus some top 6s in 20 years is good enough for you. Its not for me and many other Evertonians. We would have ended up here regardless at some point. We have to leave Goodison. Moshiri's money made that happen.

exactly...same principle for many standard-ticket fans too.

We'd still likely get 30k for lower league matches, but not much more (and that's assuming the price-increases won't be too horrendous), also the away-end will be drastically reduced.

Then there's the loss of TV earnings, major sponsors etc.

If relegated, a team of accountants will crunch the numbers and come to uncomfortable conclusions.
