But we have had that level of investment, one of the biggest spenders since 2016. Just wasted it, that's the difference.
We've had big investment and wasted it for sure. But it came long after Chelsea and City moved the game from a Sky 4 to a Sky 6. And still not at City levels in a game of catch-up. Like it or not Moshiri ws right about the 'window of opportunity.' As you say...we blew ours. But the last few years have seen us impacted by factors beyond our control too. The EFC waste has been huge and embarrassing but a global pandemic, followed by a global recession coupled with a European war have not exactly played into our hands either. Not making excuses for the club and leadership. But they are significant factors that have to be acknowledged.

You cannot compare Everton to Arsenal in the last 30 years. PL Champions, many FA cups, consistent CL qualifiers, huge stadium. They're miles ahead and even without winning CL, a global club. We were their equal, maybe more, pre PL. Not anymore. Their wage structure alone likely dwarfs ours. And their leadership plus fans dont accept mediocrity.

I mean in fairness we are not.

We are not even top half in terms of spend. But that's by the by.
Love these throw away statements. Here have a read, note that some of these figures relate back to the four years before we had real cash to spend in 2016. The worst part about that list is it a European list rather than just PL, also there is only us and Villa who have nothing to show for it all.

I use transfermarkt as a source mate, and we are about 11th since 2016 in terms of net spending.

There are many ways to launder money, from the simple to the very complex. One of the most common techniques is to use a legitimate, cash-based business owned by a criminal organization. For example, if the organization owns a restaurant, it might inflate the daily cash receipts to funnel illegal cash through the restaurant and into the restaurant’s bank account. After that, the funds can be withdrawn as needed. These types of businesses are often referred to as “fronts.”

Arsenal were already part of the big 4 and 6!

Their matchday revenue is 80 million to our 14, their shirt sponsor is 40m a year, ours is 10, their kit deal is 60m, ours is reported to 9. They play in Europe so they get money for that and they finish higher up in the league and are on TV more so again more.

It's a different game for these clubs.

You don't launder money by losing 90% of what you 'clean'.

The West Ham game won‘t do anything sack FL immediately and get a proper good manager in with a couple of good signings or else we play Championship football when the new stadium is opened.

Well following the Brighton humiliation, many fans created a pretty strong protest campaign to rightfully criticise the board & demand change. After a lot of good work by the fans, the club have essentially used their PR arm to label us all as thugs, head locking women & attacking players in their cars. The self-righteous board clearly aren’t going anywhere, we aren’t bringing in any reinforcements & our awfully performing manager isn’t going anywhere either.

It seems like the club has given up on trying to remain in the Premier League, and it’s now becoming a blame game between the board and the fans. Maybe in their blind ignorance they expect the fans to unite the same way they did last year, but we won’t… I’m fed up of it, and im sure many other fans are too.

This doesn’t feel like Everton anymore, I used to be very proud of supporting the club, but it feels like a shell of its former self, and I’m starting to wonder whether it’s worth putting all my energy into trying to support them. It’s clear the board think very highly of themselves and none of them have the balls to resign for the betterment of the club, and it’s clear how little they respect the fans who give everything for their club.

He hasn’t lost a penny yet, he is owed back every penny he has ‘invested’ as he’s loaded it on to the club as interest free loans. If we get relegated then the value of the club will drop, so he will lose that but those millions he’s put in remain owed to him.

We will be the ones paying him back, he’s lost us money.
