Even if it is only temporary, the last person you want involved and overseeing one of the most important transitional periods in Everton's history is the actual person who played a massive roll in steering the club to this juncture. How can anything he does be good for the club. It is impossible, it can only ever make things worse. The only way to do a full reset is to do a full reset. We now even have the owner and worst football decision maker ever on the board just to dig the knife in even deeper.

Really bad day for Everton this, i cannot see one positive in it anywhere.
Just think of all the free complaining tokens you get to spend!

Always gobsmacked by the knowledge of some people concerning the character, business acumen or lack of it of Moshiri. My expertise in higher financial activities is zero.Being naive I assume that somewhere on his path to richness, aside from actual robbery, our billionaire made use of some talents he was born with. These are way beyond my understanding and I suspect beyond the vast majority of GOT denizens whose unsung talents have not had the advantages afforded our Iranian friend. Let the knowledgeable abuse by the GOT experts continue unchecked.
I can't speak to his expertise as a businessman but I think we all have enough evidence to conclude that as an owner of a football club he is, and I don't say this lightly, the Titanic submersible captain of football owners.

I'm guessing fans are questioning his understanding of football - not his talent for looking after Oligarchs money.

Just read the news having been out all day on the road, thought to myself I'll just nip on GOT and see people are taking it!!

Whats the general feeling lol!!
Mixed as usual, from the wait and see brigade to the homicidal, some of which is tempered by suggestions of mass boycotts or just plain hatred of the club and certain individuals. Makes entertaining reading. Some of the technical cartoons are clever, such as the gallows images for certain persons.

Wow. Is that all he did to get rich? Looking at the images of certain other clubs boards Leicester, Watford Wolves I could go on, but it would sound too anti foreign. I suspect none of the Thais, Chinese or arab investors etc etc have much of a clue either.

Like it or not, when this stadium is completed, he's goes down as one of the most important figures in the club's history. In 50 years time, nobody will give a s*** about almost getting relegated a couple of times (so far).

I, like all of us, think he's absolutely terrible at football, but in the grand scheme of things calling for him to go is very short-sighted.

👏

What you've said is the stone cold truth. BMD is the one thing that could transform the club / attract the kinds of buyers that can have us compete in the long term and without Moshiri this stadium would have never happened.

We should also be grateful for the matchday experience that will be at BMD - going the match and having a deluxe seat, no obstructed views, better grub/drinks and hospitality.

you utter tit

Why the hell are we paying someone to pretend to be a Director of Football?

Just because you are a director of football doesn't mean you are a skilled negotiator, for instance look at Spurs, do you think anyone else but Levy does theirs?

FWIW I semi agree with what you're saying but no point just handing it to someone who can't handle it. I believe while Brands was here he would do at least some of the deals as he was more a people person who built up these kind of relationships, where Kev seems to be a facilitator who has department heads that report into him.
