This might be clinically coined "Peter Johnson built the Park End Syndrome" mate.
You have to accept you are complicit, then. Turning a blind eye is why these people exist. Same with the horse punchers and the Saudis. Same with city and the Emiratis.
The world is [Poor language removed] because we all go along with it.
Understandably this post got a negative reception.
I agree with you in principle though, if ultimately we get the stadium, comfortably stay up, he sells up and we kick on. It would be forgotten.
But just as understandably, people aren't convinced that he has any intention of going and think we are headed for a 3rd successive relegation battle.
I'm reserving judgement myself until MSP come in AND we see if any of the players in key positions we need come through the door.
Why would he leave at this point though when the club is worth a lot more in a few years with a new stadium? And what are people basing his lack of intention to go on?
MSP is likely to be to bridge the gap in BMD funding (as Moshiri has been open about) and we all know we're skint because the owner blew his sizeable transfer load on some of the worst players and coaches imaginable.
I reckon Moshiri would sell tomorrow if a good offer came inYeah that's the main point, Moshiri isn't selling until that stadium is built. And no prospective buyer is gonna commit to buying him out and taking on all that debt coupled with the uncertainty of our premier league status. Assuming we stay up, once that stadium is open, Moshiri will sell up as soon as he can.
Obstructed views mean I don’t have to watch all the garbage we serve up though
What you've said is the stone cold truth. BMD is the one thing that could transform the club / attract the kinds of buyers that can have us compete in the long term and without Moshiri this stadium would have never happened.
We should also be grateful for the matchday experience that will be at BMD - going the match and having a deluxe seat, no obstructed views, better grub/drinks and hospitality.
I reckon Moshiri would sell tomorrow if a good offer came in
It depends what his valuation is.That's the point though there isn't going to be a good offer until we get to the new stadium and have clear books for FFP so the new owner isn't tied up like Harry Houdini.
