But,but,but,£100m of that is from the sales of Lukaku,Stones and Mirallas, the rest is the TV dough;)lol
Wouldn't be surprised, mate.

Big window coming up for Moshiri. I think he's off to a poorish start, tbh. Look at the evidence so far:

  • Retained all the Everton commercial team and promoted Elstone
  • No specific game plan as far as the stadium is concerned
  • Lukaku stating he'd be up for a word with Moshiri, not getting any, and now all this furore around him moving on

It might sound harsh and impatient, but what in the way of anything tangible has come out of this new configuration of share ownership so far? Nothing as far as I can see.

There'll be a keen eye on cash into the club from tv deals and from player sales and, on the other hand, whatever cash is spent by Moshiri.

It's difficult to judge him after less than two months. The transfer window doesn't open for another 3 months. The majority of blues will form an opinion of him after his first summer at the club.

With regards to the Stadium, he can't just magic up plans in the space on 2 months. We all know he has been talking to Kenwright for the past 18 months, but a new stadium is going to take time. Personally, I think he has a bloody tough task, unless its either a redeveloped Goodison or a stadium on the docks, seems like there are going to be a lot of disappointed blues.

It would be great if our star players felt they could realise their ambition at Everton. But I think its strange that you want/ expect Moshiri to be holding private discussions with our players. Generally, it is the role of the manager to get the players to buy into his vision. With arguably the best squad Everton have had in the past 25 years, I would have thought his job would be relatively easy.

But what if Lukaku does meet with Moshiri and off the record Lukaku says that he isn't convinced with Martinez and a new more established manager could persuade him to stay? As I said, I'm surprised you want Moshiri to be holding talks with or top players, their demands may be more than just monetary.

He's been in the door about two seconds mate. I'm quite pleased with how this has happened so far. A quiet purchasing of a large shareholding without a load of fanfare. He's retained the people in the know in place seemingly until he is fully up to speed. He's not made any ridiculous promises 'spade in the ground within 100 days'.

There's no way of knowing for sure but it seems like he will be taking a period of time to review how best to move the club forward including exploring options on the stadium rather than riding in on a white horse with his own ego driven plan based purely on external information. Let's see how this one pans out over time before judgement is passed. It might be exactly the sort of calm prudential ownership we need to move forward in a sustainable way.

Yep we've been saying this every summer but this one truly will be MASSIVE for our club,IMHO.

What would you expect at this stage? Let's be honest, aside from a Stadium plan (which is not a short term fix), Moshiri's time to shine will be the transfer window - that means retaining and signing players.

If after the summer we have failed to improve the squad, then I'll agree that he's off to a poor start, but at the moment I don't quite know what you expect from the man?

The stadium issue should have been addressed with more than a very vague 'we'll look at it' statement (although statement is too grand a word to describe it). The Lukaku issue is non-problematic. I'm sure he'd have been looking for a definite commitment to spending a lot of cash on the squad in the coming season or so. I doubt Lukaku wants to jump ship and then look back at a club that's bringing in enough quality to challenge for cups and titles.

I suppose what I'm saying here is, if what we've seen so far is anything to go by, I dont think Moshiri is going to be a great communicator of his plans and so that may be a problem. I must say, on the stadium situation, it's alarming to me that someone coming in and taking de facto control could have so little to convey on what is THE most pressing matter for this club.

I'll judge him on 3 things in the following order/time frame:

1. The manager- if he wins the FA Cup AND goes on a good run and we finish in the top half then I would be happy for Moshiri to give him another season- if not he needs to be removed immediately. (By the summer)

2. New signings- I would at minimum expect us to be spending around the £100 million (pre sales) mark due to the new TV cash coming in

3. New stadium- would like to hear some progress on this front come next season and not just (exploring avenues of funding)

4. Keeping our best players- I'm fully expecting Rom to be off sadly but providing we can tie down Barkley and Stones I would say that is a positive summer for us.

It's not about demanding promises, it's about projecting a vision. I'm disappointed that he took no time to properly tackle the main areas he hopes to influence for the better. Comments about 'being part of the Everton family' make me nervous. I dont want that. It's cheap talk and it's easy to say and it plays on the sentiment that Kenwright has always played on. I'd like a vision of the future.

...what sort of demand is that? If Martinez ends our club's long years in the trophyless wilderness he'll be given a two year extension on his contract, and no one will be arsed about PL placing.

How on earth this demotion of cup winning has taken hold amongst some is pretty bizarre.

No Everton manager has won a sausage for 21 ywars. They haven't been good enough. If one does it this year they are a history making manager, not some flunky who has to get a result or two in the league to please the ego's of people who think that the sooper dooper Barclay's Premier League is the cats pyjamas.
