Think he meant he would give everything effort wise not money wise.
Tickets: in line with a general push of Everton's to be creative with pricing policy (and in line with a more general acceptance that there's is elasticity)Cheaper season tickets
Commitment to increased transfer and wage budgets in the summer
Go-ahead of FF partial redevelopement
New board member
Removal of Earl
Proper evaluation of stadium options commenced.
Pretty good start in 1 month in my book
Tickets: in line with a general push of Everton's to be creative with pricing policy (and in line with a more general acceptance that there's is elasticity)
Go ahead of FF redevelopment: concretely what does that mean? Planing permission sought? Nothing of great magnitude. One for the grandstands.
New board member: to be expected. He's bought a dog who'll do his barking for him. And...?
Removal of Earl: a pretty perfunctory 'target' hit as a matter of course when buying his shares.
Proper evaluation of stadium options: A commitment to evaluate, yes. Not exactly a difficult thing to declare and pretty underwhelming as a vision.
IIRC you stated that you;d be looking at major changes and announcements after 6 months or so. That's reasonable for an infrastructure scheme to be announced or the reconfiguration of commercial arm of the club. But, and this is my point, I dont think a communication vacuum can be allowed to build up in the intervening period. It's very reasonable to ask for Moshiri to inform us of what his grand plan is for Everton. After all, what other stakeholders in an institution of 138 years standing would expect to be bought and sold without some idea as to what the future held for it?
The PR of this changeover of shares was conducted in the same vein as the Earl purchasing of Gregg's shares. It's obviously a much greater step change than that and it needs to be reflected.

...stopped reading at 'management changes'....Dave, re the major changes and announcements I think we'll see a lot of activity this summer with major announcements re our playing ambitions, management and coaching changes (let's debate that in the appropriate thread though lol), stadium plans and senior commercial appointments.
We'll also see a further change in the shareholding structure as new capital is brought into the club.
I do think the announcements made which I mentioned earlier are significant, and are designed to demonstrate that the stagnation we have suffered from us at an end. That is the most significant factor in my opinion.

....no, seriously, I accept it cant be done overnight. I just dont agree that the bits and pieces announced in an ad hoc fashion that you allude to amount to anything like a reasonable start, and certainly they dont convey a sense of vision. I mean, this isn't an IT company of 15 years standing he's bought into. It's the 4th most successful football club in the country. Maybe actions speak louder than words, but I'm less than convinced the new way of doing things will involve greater communication of ideas. That's also what people wanted from a new regime.

I suspect they are all wondering how they are gonna cover the 50m in "lost" prize money we have had to endure in the last 2 years due to failings by the manager.
I get it Dave, you want it all and you want it now, but change doesnt happen overnight, its a long process.
I dont want that. I stated as much.
Tell me that you wouldn't welcome a three page interview with Moshiri in the Independent or Guardian setting out where he sees Everton fitting into his own portfolio and where he sees us in relation to this industry. You would. And so would others. We're right to want it too.
It's not enough to have someone write a programme note of two paragraphs and then a 30 second 'interview' on Everton TV with Bk doing all the talking.
It's remiss that we haven't had that...and typical that Evertonians used to sitting patiently in the dark being informed of nothing dont view that as an anomaly. Stripped of all the BK BS and Echo froth, he's basically waltzed in and told us sweet f.a.
I honoured you with Coca Cola last night. He doesnt do day to day tho, its unlikely he will ever do that.
He has many fingers in many pies, he puts people in place and trusts them to run things, successful businessmen dont tell the world what they are doing, they just do it. What questions do you require answers to? Its like you drink a can of coke and think that Coca Cola should tell you how they are gonna make the next can.
Coca Cola dont have captive customers; Coca Cola aren't a community institution; football is not an ordinary business. He doesnt do day to day tho, its unlikely he will ever do that.
