Again ,if you point to one positive example from 777’s history , It might allay my serious concern over this group.
But any perusal of their record strongly suggests they are not to be trusted , that they will invest nothing and will extract as much as they can from the club and its support .
I may be ‘daft ‘ as you say for considering administration but I feel equally that anyone who considers welcoming 777 with any hope whatsoever is also ‘daft’.
There is absolutely no evidence to suggest their ownership will be beneficial to us , none !
It's more likely 777 will be more beneficial than Administration.

Best case scenario under administration is that we go down, but we will be selling a lot of players to raise funds however, there would be no guarantee of a real stream of income or investment to replace them to even a championship level.

Middle case scenario, the above scenario + the stadium is sold and leased back plus sale of other assets leaving the club in name only.

Worst case scenario the administrators wind the club up and liquidate.

At least with 777 there is a path where we might stay in the premiership, retain the assets and restructure the club as Moshiri appears to have thrown his hands up.

Is 777 the ideal option?, well not really, is it better than administration? yes it is.

Also note, some of the holdings 777 have:
Red Star, France 100% stake - 3rd tier club no real problems
Standard Liège, Belgium 100% - concerning, many protests.
Genoa, Italy 100% im not sure, werent they relegated then promoted. The public bond offering caused some disquiet but really i think its a creative way of fund raising.
Everton, England 94.1%* Pending.
Melbourne Victory, Australia 70% Picked up after the club was punished for a particularly sinister crowd pitch invasion.
Vasco de Gama, Brazil 70% Got them promoted, some rumblings re lack of investment
Hertha Berlin, Germany 64.7% Relegated shortly after acquisition.
Sevilla, Spain 7.5% Minor stake, club has won europa league but since rumoured to put all players on transfer list.

Their business plan appears to take on distressed assets, time will tell with many of them whether they can restore them.

Overall yeah its not a brilliant track record but it isnt as bad as made out either.

Moshiri isn't doing anything, these guys at least have a plan to disrupt the status quo with the club.

Administration is a break in case of emergency option.

Ideally some trillionaire flies down from the heavens to provide an alternative, but as it stands 777 are better than admin

Plus we have a shot of punting Kenwright, admin would likely retain him

That’s a reasonable oversight .
Personally I can’t stomach this group and their business practices.
MSP’s failure is annoying , at least they have proven their ability to improve sporting clubs,
777 have a very poor reputation in financial circles , and deservedly so, they have caused severe distress to businesses they have invested in, which is a major red flag.
Given their past , it’s reasonable to assume they will not be putting any of their money into the club beyond the purchase price .
I am repulsed by their intentions to ‘hyper commercialise’ as I am by their declared view that supporters are ‘eager to be monetised ‘.
As Genoa proves any meaningful financial improvements will be only out of the pockets of the supporters.
Ultimately I wouldn’t trust them as far as I could spit into a hurricane force wind.
Administration and 777 are equally dangerous in my eyes , a real Hobsons choice.
Ultimately I’d choose Administration because I despise everything 777 represent .
But I fully accept the majority would prefer to place their trust in this collection of carpet baggers.

I understand the caution or hesitation in assessing them. I would say they haven't contributed to the financial problems of the clubs they have acquired, they acquired them in a poor state.

I wouldn't go that far personally. It does appear that they are intending to "commercialise" the club but I do think looking at streams of income isn't necessarily a bad thing, obviously the non-core activities of the club aren't generating much income, if 777 do it correctly there is the potential for them to ensure a cashflow other than the standard cash injection. If those commercialisation attempts provide additional funds that is a good thing. Just because they are looking at offering things like insurance and other ventures, doesn't make it automatically evil. Again if these additional activities are established and become reliable forms of income that is far more ethical than getting vast sums of money from questionable shady moneymen. Provided there is a mutual benefit between 777 and Everton there its not as sordid as one would think. the 'the eager to be monitised' comment requires a bit of context. If the club can leverage the club IP to sell items a fan base otherwise buy, provided the quality form and function of the product is similar, then why not slap an everton badge on it and make additional money. I stress again provided that the product is comparable to the same products offered elsewhere.

Again i dont have too many problems with the Genoa Bonds Proposal, it's different to the norm for sure but if the future returns are as predicted I absolutely have no issues with it.

I have to stress how dangerous administration could be, theres a very real possibility that even if the club got through the process that it would be diluted to a level that makes it a completely different club to that we all know and love.

We are without doubt the worst run club in the Prem.
We have complained for years about the club not capitalising on sponsorships and monies coming into the club.
This is reflected in the clubs turnover & a significant reason we are in trouble.
We've a very long list of of very poor business decisions , Kitbag springs to mind. We have our neighbours plastered all over the city from LJLA to the Pier head.
You can buy any other kit bar ours in most sports shops , they couldn't have done a worse job marketing the club.

Of course the fans want the club to be monetized and there has to be acceptance things need to change.
As a business we are desperately crying out for some hard nosed professionalism.

I'm still not convinced 777 are the answer but if they sort this and look after the playing side then I'm fully on board.

Think finance wasn't a problem until the war in Ukraine kicked off, who would have predicted that though and our main source of income vanished overnight.
That's entirely on our self-congratulatory board of the time.

90% of our revenue (outside of match day and TV) was Usmanov owned companies.

"Look how great we are getting all these deals signed!"

"Aren't we clever! Inventing an imaginary queue of people wanting to secure naming rights and getting 30m for nothing at all!"

It's akin to an investment manager putting everything you own into a single stock.

Pathetic way to run a business, well done BK and DBB.
Dirty 850mil comes in

Clean 500mil goes out
This tired narrative again? Its not, and never was money laundering. Pre Ukraine invasion (which is when our spending stopped dead) all of Usmanov companies operated prefectly legitimately in all 4 corners of the earth.

He didn't need a middling premier football club to launder what is essentially chump change.

More likely it was an I'll advised attempt to stick two fingers up at Kronke and it backfired in a quite spectacular fashion.
It certainly looks like they're working very hard (if a company with no employees can be said to work) to conceal the source of the money.

Imagine the fume if that turned out to be the Arteta money, plus other looting by Kenwright over the years.
I'd bet my house that Kenwright is involved, probably getting a cut somewhere.

First Vibrac, now Rights and Media.

Both offering the exact same service, one appears as soon as the other closes. Both faceless, both signed off by Kenwright.

I'm pleased Moshiri is on his way, the decision making has been abysmal.

The biggest failure was keeping Kenwright and all his enablers onboard.
Who knows where we'd be with 800m and a bit of competence?

If the outcome of the hearing in October is palatable and we have won a few more games since then, I'd be shocked if more buyers don't become involved. Moshiri hedging his bets trying to sell now before a potential points deduction etc, and other buyers aware the club might be cheaper by Christmas

I guess the question is: Could we get to the end of this season under Moshiri's ownership? Given he's needed to take our loans to the tune of hundreds of millions recently, it looks doubtful that we could finish the season without having sold the stadium or something mad like that.

I have no doubt that we'll stay up with this squad, but I don't think even that's likely to bring in a better calabre of buyer otherwise we'd have been linked already imo. It's obvious there are at least three much worse teams than us in the league this season.

It was more an example rather than a fact.

BTW, Al Cappone's mafia had a lot of legitimate companies.

The Moshiri & Usmanov era has ended , there's a different path we have to tread now.

100% this. I ordered my son the new away and home kit 6 weeks ago. Having to chase it more than once, to be told due to the amount of orders there is a problem with the distribution. They gave me £10 refund and said they are working hard to get my order to me asap. This is a prime example of the joke this club is. As you said can go to Liverpool one and buy a Newcastle, Arsenal even Leicester city kit. We have a massive fan base who are willing to give this club are hard earned money, the millions of pounds they are missing out on each year.

We will know if we're staying up, depending on who it any, we sell in January. What a disgraceful way to run a football club.
