While I'd usually agree about phrases such as "Appears to show...", "...could be" and other such vagaries I'd imagine there's a legal line to be very aware of when writing about the financial dealings of billionaires with very expensive legal teams.
Of course there are plenty of fans who regardless of facts will always see this kind of thing as empty persecution of Everton. But if money made through dealings with a sanctioned individual has found it's way into the club in however roundabout a way then it's really not a good thing.
