Many of the same Blues think well of Kenwright. Sentiment riddles this club - and it wasn't just the former chairman for life who was guilty of weaponising it against our own best interests...
Hired Benítez, nearly bankrupted the club, got the club the biggest points deduction in PL history, ran the club on pay day loans, nearly sold us to 777

'wish you all the best in the future Moshiri' Do you? Cos personally I hope the fraud goes bankrupt.

Say what?

We went from £45 million of debt and regular finishes in the top 6 to £650 million of debt and on the precipice of relegation and total implosion.

Way to go Farthead
That debt was funding playing staff, which if you read my post I agree with you on

Off the field is around commercial performance and increasing infrastructure to provide an increase in revenue, e.g the stadium

Never doubted his good intentions.

But the gambles he took, I wouldn't replay this period in our clubs history for all the stress and worry they've caused. It has been hellish.

That we got there in the end isn't ever good enough in my book. And we are still not anywhere near in a comfortable position.

I think Kenwright played him for a fool.

I have no personal animosity towards him though, none at all. In the end, he could have made more demands of any prospective buyer and did not, whether by accident or design.

He enters into our history as a significant figure, if only for the notoriety of his stewardship. I wouldn't have any issue with him attending a game. If he wanted to then why not.

The stadium is great, and no doubt over time (way way in the future) that will be his legacy, but from a footballing side of things he was a complete and utter disaster. He purchased a club that had consistently finished best of the rest for years and had Lukaku, Stone, Barkley, Geri, a peak Baines and Coleman. Imagine a squad like that now suddenly (seemingly) winning the jackpot. Fast forward 9 years and the squad is on it's backside with every ounce of quality sold to stay afloat. He and his trusted board alienated the fans and standards have been allowed to drop so low, simply staying in the league is celebrated as success. We sit 3 point above relegation and the possibility of playing our first game in that new Stadium in the second tier of English football is still a possibility and that's on him.
