Jim White was playing some old interview with Farhad Moshpit today. Looking back, it was entirely obvious in his statements that he was a clueless old duffer. Simon Jordan said as much. "Bill educated me" was one of the phrases used by Farhard... As Jordan said, "With the utmost respect to Bill, that club needed proper commercial input..." or words to that effect.

Today, in a similar moment of hope for us fans, I think the contrast with the Friedkins is already obvious. Nothing embarrassing, over-eager, over-earnest, or naive about them. And the dead hand of Kenwright is properly dead this time.

As Donna Summer righty said: "This time I know it's for real..."

The warning signs were there right from the get go, when he announced that bumbling Bill would be staying on as chairman.

We should have known there and then what we were in for. As that song by the Who goes the new boss was the same as the old boss.

They've just released this special Moshiri commemorative diorama on the official site.

I think in years to come, human nature is to forget to difficult stuff and reminisce on the good.
Bottom line, I suspect, will be his time will be more remembered for Bramley Moore, Carlo Ancellotti and James Rodriquez.
All the bad stuff will be a footnote, as ultimately, his 7 years were not really any more or less successful the preceding 7 years.
We haven’t won anything for 30 years, if anything his tenure was a missed opportunity.
What might have happened or what he might have done is gone. Yes there were some howlers (pigman, 777) but that’s gone and BMD / TFG is tomorrow.
He’s left us with a stadium and a new owner worth $6.8b, with the added benefit (hopefully) of better business acumen than running it as a vanity project for Uncle Uzzy.

Good Ebening.

….the scrapes with relegation will not be forgotten by those who lived through them, nor will the total mismanagement and wasted opportunity.

I was brought up on John Moore’s and Catterick. I lived my formative years through Kendall the manager. There’s a generation of Evertonians nowhere near as fortunate, I doubt they’ll forget the Moshiri years and for them we hope this is a fine new chapter.

i was kinda hoping Mosh's last statement would have been put out by Jim White as a series of screenshots of the iphone note app.

But despite all that and those eight years of mismanagement, and recollections of them over time will be replaced by a stadium he facilitated the move for, which will stand for 100 years plus….he was rubbish and incompetent but the stadium will to some degree be his lasting legacy….the stadium issue plagued the club for 25 years
